  1. Thanks bionicxr6t05 for the feed back. Can you recommend a service centre in Brisbane? I've always gone to Metro Ford at Newstead for servicing stuff so far, they seem pretty reasonable but this will be the first time the cars been modified in there.
  2. Airfilter and battery relocation, FMIC and piping, ECU tune, dumpipe and cat, injectors. Not looking for special treatment from the dealership or to sneak something through just wanting to know if anyone has had any dealings with a dealership and warranty on a lightly modified car, looking for a fair assessment of the leak and if it can be covered under warranty or not.
  3. Hi Folks, I wasn't exactly sure where might be the place on this forum to ask. As the title asks does anyone up in Brisbane have and good/bad/indifferent experiences with Ford service centres and warranty claims on modified cars? This will be my first time going to what is likely to be a warranty issue as the engine has an oil leak from somewhere down low on the motor. I've just recently had the car lightly modified and it was noted before any work was done that a small amount of oil was coming of the bottom of the motor and around the oil filter area. The mechanic has said its likely to be a front engine seal that has a very tiny leak somewhere. Any advice on how to approach the issue with a service centre and is full disclosure a good idea from the start on my part? I've heard and read mixed reviews about dealerships in general shirking their warranty claims so any advise from that have had experience would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Divinicus
  4. Hiya QUIK F6 is me I live in the area. Had the pleasure of cruising down waterworks road with HOT F6 a couple months back was the bright orange BA/BF model
  5. It was spite doing some research here to get an idea what a good price was and not being rude about things when he was negotiating for us, the salesman knew we were serious buyers and a little bit of dealer competition helped us reach that figure over about 3 days. Basically one dealer wanted the FPV sales volume the other just wanted to make a sale and get rid of some stock they'd locked in as a Demo to stop other dealers pinching them. Had spite walked in solo I doubt he'd have gotten that price for a single car, bringing the second into the mix pulled the other dealer in and got pricing alot a sharper.
  6. As a follow up to this Spite has some serious negotiating skills.. more like massive pain in the butt skills for the dealers. I'd heard him quote the 56,020 but he never told me you got a ford employee discount included in that price, even the dealer we eventually went with had to be pushed very hard over a couple days to get the price below. Today we signed off on 2x FG F6's with tint and mats which aren't standard for some reason for $55,866 drive away. He thinks he had another dealer that would go as low as $55k but we weren't sure when the cars would arrive from them, the current dealer has 1 the black in stock and the white will arrive from FPV in a couple weeks. Most of the dealers he spoke with wouldn't go near that price and probably thought he was full of BS. Personally been dreaming of the day when I'd own one of these cars for just over 7 years now and next week is my time, very exciting.
