  3. Sorry to see tutle, same ute as mine. I hope they fix it quick for you.
  4. I can make these at a small cost , if there is enough interest. I work in a plastics factory so it wont be a big hastle.
  5. It's good to hear your ok DEEK, Lets hope something good comes out of this, like better options without having to fork out more money. :wink1:
  6. Vert nice, plenty of mumbo under that bonnet.
  7. Welcome Pete, You will find the guys on here very helpfull. The phoon sounds tuff, enjoy the ride. :hiwelcome:
  8. I have done this to several T's with good results as far as sound goes. It wont make any difference to performance. I block off the plumb back line with a piece of 1 inch broom handle, then I join on a hose aquired from super cheap auto which is about 300 mm long moulded like a slight s bend and joined with a copper 3/4 inch plumbing joiner. This alows you to hide the blow off valve from the federal agents. As far as sucking in unfilted air, I can't see this happening because evan at idle there is some pressure in the intake from the tubo, but I would not swear to that, perhaps someone can help on that one. Anyway I can't see an after market one at $ 400 doing anything different. I can supply pics if requested.
  9. It's normal for one wheel to spin if your driving on uneven surfaces, you will find if one wheel is on the tar and the other in the dirt that one will always spin. Remember it's a limited slip not a lock up diff. You will find that if you put the ute on level tar with an even surface both wheels will spin. If your diff isn't making any noises it's probably ok.
  10. that's one fully sick wild ride.
  11. Yes george, Iv'e had a chubby all afternoon.
  12. Picked up the ute from Mario this afternoon, what a difference she drives like it did when I bought it but only with an extra 100 RWKW now. I can't beleave an O2 sensor could course so much grief for the last 6 months and Ford couldn't or wouldn't find such a simple problem. Now I can sleep at night.
  13. This is what happens, Bracksy got in and spent all the money that Jeff had saved up. Now he has to get the money from somewhere. How easy is that, just use speed as an excuse and bingo, rip off the silly buggers who voted for the poof. :cussing:
  14. Thanks again for the replies Guys, very helpfull. Yes Im sure it is the O2 sensor. The ute goes to Mario on monday for O2 sensor (warranty), Remus exhaust and a tune. Thanks for your input, Brian.
  15. Can't find any on ebay at the moment, I would love to get my hands on one though.
  16. Miss Aly and I have had ours done at Autotechnique in Rowville. We have had excellent results and Mario makes sure the customer is happy, but im sure who ever you choose to do the edit, you will be more than happy.
  17. I must agree with you Macka, we must not forget the dealers side, because there neck is on the line. And yes your right it doesn't take long to wack in the original cooler. If a new O2 sensor doesn't fix it I will be puting the original cooler back in and I will take it to your dealer.
  18. Hi guys, I'm wondering if any of you guys can shed some light on my problem I am having with my XR6 Turbo Ute. Ute surging on hwy, runs very rough at idle sometimes and either stalls or tries to take off on it's own like you have accelerated, sometimes when I go to accelerate normally nothing happens and then all of a sudden it takes off madly, blows heaps of black smoke when idling rough, and using lots of fuel. I have been checking sensors, vac leaks etc and have checked my O2 sensor against Miss Aly's and found the grey wire has a dead short where as Aly's has not. Could this be my problem. Ford have been no help at all!!!! They first told me to put everything back to standard ( I had plumbing, pod air filter, larger injectors, edit, modified exhaust) I do as they wish and leaving the larger intercooler in place and I take it back to Ford and as soon as they see the larger intercooler they say that's my problem. PRICKS!! So I have decided to try and fix it myself. Mind you I have been to 3 Ford dealers about my problem. The ute does the same thing on the ford std tune with std injectors as well as on the edit tune with large injectors. I would appreciate any thoughts on this, thanks Guys. Regards Brian.
  19. Had mine done at preston auto's, Very happy with it $725. The guys there are so helpfull and show you what's been done and why. Blown BA, Mr Turbo and others have been done there too.
  20. I've seen her in the flesh and heard her talk very loudly [I mean yelling ] . Nick you can keep her, you have earnt her you poor bathplug. If I were you I would leave town.
  21. Thanks ms 700, I will find the number and let you know. Cheers Brian.
  22. It's only the wires from the computer to the engine, about an hours work. The auto elec that fitted the EMS butchered the wires, if I took it to a real sparky I recon he would laugh.
  23. When I removed the EMS from my T , there was about 12 wires I had to rejoin on the loom. So to me it's not a good way to go repairing that many wires that's connected to the computer. I went to Knox Ford to price a loom, $450. I was wondering if any of you guys had any contacts or clues where I could get it for a better price? Cheers Brian.
  24. When will someone tell these pr--ks that this will never lower road toll. We all know there going the wrong way about it.
