Go in armed with the information to make a deal happen and lay it down. If you wave the money in front of them it's only a matter of time before someone goes, bah, we will sell it whether it's for $50 or just more numbers through the door from the suppliers. I just took information I had found in a number of threads here (thanks to those who post this info) and took some negotiating skills in. What I do realise is, we're getting ever closer to the Series II FG and the fact getting rid of stock is a high priority right now was a good time to buy the FG F6. As amazing as the F6 is, in my opinion the GT pips it for 'potential' and also raw guttural pleasure. The last thing any dealer or manufacturer wants is JUN plated cars sitting around at the end of the year. They will move them. Even now, at just under 56k I still think there was room to move but the fact is they are running a business and typically you want to maintain a good relationship with a dealer for ongoing service and warranty issues etc. We were really well serviced and looked after from the dealership and we felt comfortable with them going forward. The last thing you want is a dealer who hates you cause he made $1 from your sale. It's like complaining about a burger at Maccas, the guy on the grill is going to spit in it . Like I said, the GT is my actual 'pick' of the cars but when the prices are similar but you absolutely cannot discount the awesomeness of a F6 @ around $55k. No car comes anywhere near it for performance/awesomesauce. Once again, thanks to those who post price / date info as it helps more of us get bums in the seats of such great cars. Divi and I will post some pics up when we've got both of the cars together .
