  1. Hi I have read somewhere that the cost off doing a Fg to fgx front conversation was around the $2200 plus paint. New bonnet guards lights etc, thinking off updating a Fg mk2 g6e to fgx g6e. So I have never seen such work done myself but does anyone else know off this being done and where?
  2. Looks like to height I'm going after in the pic but thought going the same spring height that you would still retain that dreded opposite rake. Hence sl front and ssl rear?? Still want that plush ride but get rid off the 4wd height, think I'm still going to go sl/ssl and see if I need sway bars so it will be as I have alway upgraded them on my cars?
  3. Sl htg is 360-355mm on the front and ssl htg is 355mm on the rear. Just went though this today with my local suspension shop and is the combo I'm leaning towards on my g6et. King spring sl-ssl-sssl mean for every 's' you drop down 10mm. I'm locking at keeping my std shocks as the car has only done 35000km and any lower will result in new shocks and possibility shiming the front.
  4. Hi, just wondering if I can swap out the led driving light housing in the front off a mk2 g6e and swap to a g6 fog light housing so I can install some led halo fog lights from Mars performance? Also on any fg falcon that has fog lights how are they turned on/off, I know on my bf it was a switch but being a g6e turbo the front led driving lights are the parkers. Reason being is the lights I'm looking at activates the led halo once ignition is on but turn off when the parkers are switched on and then you must be able to turn the fog lights on with some sort off switch. Sorry if this sounds confusing but you may need to check out the led halo fog lights from mars to know what I'm on about. Thanks for any input good or bad

  6. Had the same issue in a ba xr6t, the brakes would creep on sometimes and cause a shudder that made you pull over and stop. I could fix it by turning the car off and pumping the brakes. Ended up replacing the brake booster with a new one and solved the problem. I've had a bf mk2 with the bigger brakes and now a g6et mk2 and never had the issue again so must be a teething problem with the early falcons.
  7. Hi all, today in my g6et I was listening to the iPhone songs via the sub cable and heard a clicking noise then the volume whent to half off what it was. Got fuel and it went back to normal. After leaving the gym jumped in and is only playing at half volume again. I did do the swapping off the sub wires this morning too which makes a massive improvement. If I have the radio on say 20 it sounds great with improved bass etc but to achive the same noise volume I have to increase it to 30 odd while listening to the iPhone. I have tryed a different iPhone cable, reset the audio settings even removed the two different icc fuses and tryed Bluetooth but still isn't the same as it was earlier today. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hey people let me itroduce myself, I have had a few skyline's before then changed to xr6's being a ford man. Owned a 05 ba mk11 xr6t auto for a few years then needed ball joints and a slipping auto repaired and other problems. Bit the bullet as I wanted to put a kit though it and bought a bf xr6t mk11 pefect car 80km t56 leather premium sound ego in colour for last years christmas present. Standard but just got the window's tinted and put a ss crowler intake on last week which I love ( I know but done my research for what it is and how well its made and location) HIGHLY recommend, the sound makes people look. Doing all the mods I can with help from some friends, Plasmaman intercooler, fuel pump sitting in the shed just need a clutch before I give blacktrack the go ahead to crack 350kw. Cheers,Luke
  13. Hi I had a click coming from the rear of my bf xr6 turbo and ended up replacing the drivers side axel shaft with a after market axel (driveline beresfield nsw) replaced around april with the help of my brother inlaw. About a month a go I noticed that my car wasn't driving 100% thought a flat tire no, then got worse for the next few days. Got my brother inlaw (mechanic) to check but all good. A few more days and I could start to feel the car traking in the ass end while driving more around cruise speed 100km. Finaly got bad as around a slow bend it felt like you were turning in and out which I could tell the wheel was moving. That afternoon took it to a mechanic and he thought it may be bushes then I told him about the axel replacement and squeak from said shalf, jacked up car and seen way too much wheel whoble. Asked about the big 35mm nut took wheel of and axel nut was loose as buggery, retighten and off I went. This week noticed it again feeling worse for the past few days, checked it today tighten it up with lock tight and with another locking nut behind it (just happened we had one) put wheel on and there is still play forward, backward's and sideways :-( So only thing left is that the wheel bearing is on its way out from the forces of driving around when slightly loose?? as it look's like the only option and the wallet will be opening to make sure.. Any other option? Cheers,Luke
