  1. well what turned into just a head gasket replacement has turned into a Bottom end needed a rebuild... in the ba the block needs to be decked and theres a tad bit of play in the pistens so I have been thinking about re doing the bottom end as its only a BA bottom end.. what will I need to do this... what are people putting in theres..what sould I get the bores taken out too I dont wanna have to retune the car what head gasket sould I put in ... sould I have the crank replaced or cleaned up.... I will be going more power so I wanna know this bottem will hold how bi the heads been recoed already and has atomic valve springs on it.... sorry to sound a bit stupid but iv never done this before
  2. yep TK done Confermed it Head gasket Gone! getting fixed as we speak...
  3. ok some more info I have found... the cooling systems get a hell of a lot of pressure in the system to the point the hoses are Hard as rocks.. the cap has milkshake on it but the rest of the oil is fine took the thermosat out and ran it made no change...

  6. ok guys as some will know my BA motor Got a Bad case of Milkshake and now im chnageing the motor out for a typhoon block (stronger bottem end) can someone please tell me if the motors are all the same as im looking at a S1 BF Typhoon motor... only ask because I know BFMK2 Turbo motors are ment to be better but dont know about typhoons
  7. well I think its a head gasket now as the cap has started to get milky..... anyone got any ideas on the cost to get it replaced....

  9. whats the TK check... but the wired thing is the car drives without a issuse no loss of power nothing... wouldent it be a give away if it had a check or a blown head gasket.. theres no water or anything comeing out the exhaust its idels fine .. I just dont know
  10. ok guys I cannot for the life of me work out whats wrong..... I had the top radiator hose chnaged the other day because of a leaking issuse witch is now sorted..... Steps I take to fill the system I run the car for about 20 min on idle with the cap off and massargeing the top pipe to help with removeing air.. as I top the system up (no heater on as no Heater core connected) once that's done that I top the system up and drive it around The temp sits just a little bit over a quater witch is fine but when I stop the car after a 20 min drive to work and I pop the bonnet and have a look at the level its droped from the max to the low mark and theres coolent all over the Bay from the cap... and you can see its boiled the coolent.... out I have chnaged the Cap with another Gen Ford cap and its still doing it .. what am I doing wrong or whats wrong....
  11. Yeah im in melb and tge issue is that I have a lowerd car to so do not want sounds I have been told the bf ones are stronger then the ba ones but by how much
  12. hey guys im looking for stonger ones for my BA XR6 Turbo as I broke one Yesterday so I thought it was time to put a stonger one in WHAT ones are people running and seem to last the longest for cars pushing over the 300+ I had been running the staneded ones WHats Brand are they... how much are thay each.. or for a pair? thanks for the help Andrew
  13. yep and im happy as a pig in sh*t for now....... thanks mate its taken a bit but its well worth it in the end.... will hope I can get more out of her with some more mods ...... after I pay off this row of stuff
  14. it is a Weak BA motor mick and I had a talk about the figer and that's what we come up with we did not wanna push it over the top but im happy with it I will be going back for a reune when I change the motor out for a better one

  16. well I picked up my BA after over 2 weeks of it being in Pitlanes workshop and mick and the gang has done it again the car pulled 334RWKW on 15PSI List of Mods Rapid systems Cooler kit (cold side Pipeing) 4" intake with airbox 1.7L Serge tank and Bosh 044 Pump Walbro 300LT Intake fuel pump Full Xforce Stainless steal Quad system. 4"dump 3.5inch hi flow cat 2.5 catback siemens 60Lb Injecters Atomic Valve Springs Wastegate actuator and turbo port New turbo core and Front cover T56 Speed Gearbox Aces Melwood Op3+ clutch

  18. gday guys I need some help trying to find out what this pump is... it was in my AU with a set or 37lb bosh injecters and my mate is looking at buying the combo off me for his EL as his looking at turboing it........ the pump has in blue along the top it says C25903 H097 WHAT is it much help would be good
  19. what power figger will I have ...... after this list of mods its a BA XR6 Turbo 5 speed manual its got a Rapid systems V3 cooler kit with Cold side pipeing 40MM Bov Plazman under bat intake earls Turbo oil feed line filter will have 6 speed fitted Atomic Valve springs Turbo flapper and acuator mod 12PSI min intake fuel pump Bosh 42Lb injecters Hiflow Cat Tune now thinking maybee 4' dump too so what power Level d you gauys think ill have with this list of mods

  21. guys I brought a turbosmart Bov and the thing dont fit the inlet and outlets are way too big what can I do ... sould I just take the thing back or what I runn a Plazman under bat intake and a Prosseswest Coller kit with cold shide pipeing I think the Connections are 25MM
  22. ok so no point so ill use the money for more important things like valve springs
