  3. Having owned the goodyeat f1 a2's and michelin pss, the goodyears have the edge in wot traction.
  4. Recently put michelin pilot super sports 275 30 19 on the back of my fg 323rwkw. They are a bit noisy but great traction.

  6. I have the aeroforce gauges, nice but pricey. The 2 gauges connect via a single cable to the obd2 port (provides power as well) and you can see all the obd2 parameters (boost, coolant temp, battery voltage, intake temp etc.). Each gauge displays 2 parameters in digital format. There are programmable visual alarms - can be used as a shift light, or oil pressure warning. Each gauge also accepts 2 analogue inputs, so you can connect up oil temp and oil pressure using the seperate sensors. They sell the sensor kits as well, they even have a wideband afr sensor. I use a stingray car security plate which replaces the tissue box holder in the FG. With the plate and the gauges it takes 10 mins to hook up. The gauges are not in the line of site, more a stealth sort of look, obviously you cant look at them while driving hard.
  7. You can get traction with 19s, but tyre choice is limited and expensive. I have Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2 245 35 19 with 323rwkw. Can (mostly, not always) get traction through second at wot.
  8. The aeroforce gauges allready do this, plus all the other psrameters the obd2 port puts out. But they are around $500 for 2 gauges....
  9. Yeah, you have a different problem your trying to solve. My stock bush was cracked and causing problems. I was uneducated and went with the workshops recommendation. Having said that - the car is much more planted with the solid bushes. Make sure you do the 2 side bushes and the control arm bushes at the same time. If you were ever planning on upgrading your rear shocks/springs, now is the time.
  10. Competition bushes do increase noise. Even with a bigger exhaust.... If I was doing it again, I would go with the comforts
  11. I know where your coming from. It will never handle as well as the cars you are comparing to. However, it can be substantially improved upon. Did you not find the modified BF to be a big improvement?
  12. Call me old school, but if your existing pads and rotors are ok - you may be better off putting money into better/stickier tyres, particularly for street use. For emergency stops, the tyres will determine stop or hit.

  17. I was trying to decide between the pw stage 1 and 2 coolers. The advantage of stage 1 is no cutting required- not an advantage for you. Stage 2 cools better.

  20. hmm, I think with the turbo we need a proven/reliable option. Not sure what that wheel is or how much better it will be. Will it be safe? Then we have to factor in the installation costs for the wheel. A new turbo may be the better option. Unless one of the established turbo houses can bring the stock turbo up to gtx spec. There must be a reason even f6 owners upgrade to the gtx version of their turbo. old mate those are impressive numbers and great feedback. sad to hear the car was written off, hope no one was hurt. That's the numbers iam after, plus hard spool.... There are not many cars that have the instant hit of a turbo 6. I
  21. Ah, that's interesting. Who is doing the billet upgrade? I have been quoted $1600 for upgrading the stock turbo to a larger f6 compressor with port/flapper/actuator mods.
  22. Has anyone replaced the fg gt3576 with the gtx3576? Looks like my stock turbo is going to be maxxed out with the next round of mods. If I have to port/flapper/actuator mod it, may be worthwhile upgrading. Not keen on increasing lag with the f6 turbo or the gtx3582r. Would be happy with a reliable 350-380 rwkw.
  23. Shop around. These days you can get a new xr6t with lux pack for $40k. They are dedperate to sell...
