    stiv6 - mine is a manual on pump98. the little gtx will give you exactly what you want. Where are you getting it tuned?

    Good call camo! I have committed to the Borg Warner path now, and may sell the GTX soon - I think its done about 7000km's. @Stiv6 - what happened to your 6235? In a manual the instant boost of the little GTX is a lot of fun. In second gear I get the "tututu" backing off at 50km/hr. Having said that the GTX sounds like a little girl sneezing compared to PTE - I think the front surge cover makes the difference.
  4. With a ID 1000's, Process West surge and twin Walbro 460's I got to 450rwkw on pump 98 at 22psi. The fuel system should be capable of delivering enough.... its just other things will start to break. What are you aiming for?
  5. Had a precision 6235 which got taken out by debrie from cylinder 6. When it was rebuilt put a gtx3576 in as it was cheap brand new. However, after having the precision for 2 years the gtx just feels too sluggish (maxed out). Now looking to put a borg warner efr in, was told the reservoir needs to be moved when these turbos are put in a standard low mount position.

  8. My post is badly worded. No doubt you had good intentions. But Jeez, over the past 10 years you just keep seeing people trying to take the cheap option and end up paying more. There are so many off the shelf proven turbo combos these days. If you want cheap, consider brexit. The pound has devalued so much I have been getting cheap stuff sent over by friends in the uk.

  10. your gonna spend more money on the mamba housing and still not know if its gonna work. Cut your losses and mod your stock exhaust housing. Dudes be runnin 10s with the stock housing with port and flap mod.

  17. I am yet to fit my IM diff hat up. Will have to think about what bushes to put in. Currently they are all SuperPro Sport. Great rear end stability but very noisy.

    Is your carbon fibre tailshaft from the driveshaft shop? I had one, has gone back due to terrible vibration Nice engine bay!
  19. Try replacing the badly buckled one with your spare. If its better, stick with it until u need new tyres. Then get new staggered wheels with wider tyres and enjoy the better traction. Plan b: I got some limited edition stock rims sitting around if intetested
  20. I had the 4inch front housing rotormaster sell it with. Used my stock rear housing. The other option is to look at some of the bigger bolt on low mount turbos with a smaller rear housing for quick spool. Lots of talk around about the precision 6466 with 0.82 rear and the borg warner efr range. Yeah, the little gtx lacks mid to top even on the street. Edit: play with the diff ratio?
  21. I had 450rwkw with stock fg valve springs and no float, was that way for about 12 monthd. Did upgrade them for peace of mind. I know what you mean about delivery. In second gear the precision is spooling hard by 45km/hr. In comparison the gtx3576 comes on hard just under 40km/hr. If your tracking it definitely think about a surge tank and also driveshaft upgrade. Not sure how much a stock bf bottom can take. For track work in a manual, nelsonian is the man to chat to about turbo choice
  22. You need 21-22 psi on the precision on pump98 to get to 450. Have you done valve springs and oil pump gears? Would ideally need a surge as well. The precision almost spools as well as the smaller gtx3576, but the midrange is sensational. Even at lower boost the precision or gtx will feel heaps better on the street in a manual compared to your current turbo - even if peak power is not significantly higher. Sometimes you might get more bang for back spending the money on wheels and tyres
  23. Precision 6235 is bolt on and should get you those numbers. I got 450rwkw on pump98 in a manual. Your bottem end may not like it though!
