  1. ok so is there any way to tell if they are aftermarket valve springs or standard as I bought the ute with all the mods already done to it. and also when it does start to miss and carry on it like lasts for a fair while and if let to idle and it stalls it takes a lot of winding over for it to fire again like 5 or more times the normal cranking time.
  2. I have a ba xr6t ute with forged pistons and steel rods and it runs around 17psi and when in 1st gear and sometimes 2nd gear if you flatten it, it will rev out really quickly and hits the limiter and for the next 15 or so seconds it will miss and run really bad and if you let the revs drop down to idle it will stall and then takes a wheil to restart like takes heaps of cranking to start. is there bad and is there anyways to fix this? I try not to hit the limiter but because it revs so fast its hard to avoid.
  3. I have an xr6 turbo ute with forged engine runnings around 20psi and it has a button clutch in it, lasted maybe a year and a half and has started slipping so dont bother going that way and also the gearbox has been replaced it destroyed itself with the power so start thinking about upgrading that as well. but from who ive talked to the mal woods option 3 clutch is the way to go, a mate of mine has one in his xr6t sedan and loves it.
  4. I have an xr6 turbo ute that suffers the same problem... it has forged engine and runs 17 psi so as you can imagine it gets up and goes... and in 1st gear it hits the rev limiter hard and often. when it hits the rev limiter it sort of flutters and misses for about 15 or so seconds and if you dont keep the revs up it will stall. but if you keep the revs up, like highway driving it will eventually come good. is this the sort of problem you all have when it hits the rev limiter???
