  1. I haven't been in a T running the straight pipe only but I imagine there could be a slight droning at highway speeds. I've got the 2 hot dogs as a centre muffler replacement and I give it the thumbs up
  2. I'm pretty sure that the helmets don't have to be full face - just so long as they are standards approved. From the 2001-2002 ANDRA rule book (I don't have the latest with me) AS(Australian Standard) 1698 197/1988 SNELL (US) SA85, SA90, SA95, SFI31.2, M85, M90, M95, SFI41.2, 1985/1990/1995, SFI31.1 BS (British Standard) 6685-85 Type A, 2495, 1977 Most motorcyle retailers have good ranges of helmets. Places like Motorcycle Accesories Supermarket (MCAS) or if you are in the Campbelltown area go see Joe at Campbelltown Motorcycles in Blaxland road (Gratuitous plug for one of my dragsters sponsors )
  3. I thought you were banned from Tassie - or was that just a little shop in Strahan.
  4. Nooooo. I promise I'll be good. Hope you'se are all having a great holiday. See ya back at the ranch.
  5. Reports are just in that Fraggle has made his way up the NSW coast. It was confirmed that he made a stop at the Big Bananna in Coffs, but police were called when he started eating the exhibit.

    Nasho Run

We went through there on Monday. Just told them we were going to drive thru and no charge.
  7. The Fraggle has landed... Will see youse all in the morning at Ken's shopping centre.
  8. It's all cool Jeff. I spoke to one of the organisers of the Australian Factory Performance Car Nationals and he said that the only day that the track was closed was on Sunday for their Conrod Straight Sprints. All we have to do is hope that Fraggle brings the cool dry weather with him.
  9. Mick's XC is one sweeeeeet lookin ride I would be worried about JB loitering around the back of it though
  10. There is a couple of forum members who live in Tassie - Fraggle and Badger. Bring on Tassie MK III - are we there yet ?
  11. List of who's going: Fraggle + family(4) Ken24T + Mini Me DBOSS 4Runner + family(3) XRSEX DRZ (if someone can give him a lift)
  12. I had hail damage repaired by Ken Schaffer Smash Repairs at Campbelltown. I was very impressed with their work. I'm assuming that as you were on the M5 that you either live or work in the Macarthur area ?
  13. Yeah mine was nice and clean in a garage until I had to drive to work in the rain. The rain might be the only thing that saves the Aussies in the cricket though.
  14. You realise now that if it continues to rain that your to blame. The car does look sweeeet though
  15. My guess is that they will both stop at the same time. This is assuming that the second car which was accelerating to 100km/h would then have zero acceleration at the point when both cars were switched off.
  16. Looks like someone was having fun The camera man has a great vocabulary though with his commentary yeah
  17. We had a great day. Thanks to Ken, Phil and Cro for organising and leading the way. Lea - the boys said thanks for the lolly bags. I particularly enjoyed one section of the Putty Road with no traffic in front and a GT behind Jeff Looking forward to the next one.

    Some Nasties

First off xr6tee to the forums and good luck with getting your nasties sorted. I also have a MKII 6-speed now with 40,000 kms and 1 year old. Mine has the "live" pixel problem on the ICC display. You don't normally notice it with the normal ICC display but it shows up as a bright green pixel when receiving signal from the STB. I doubt that Ford would change it for 1 pixel but you never know your luck. Let us know how you get on with it.
  19. I haven't heard any more news. Here's hoping that the driver (Mark Reaney) makes a full recovery from his injuries. He is certainly dedicated to the sport as he towed over from WA to compete at the East Coast Nationals at WSID.
  20. If I can finish the Sat night shift early enough, I will be there. I was dissappointed that we couldn't make the Snowies cruise - looks like we missed a good one
  21. Hey JB - It can't be your Birthday - we celebrated that in Tassie (several times) Cheers mate
  22. Not the best price - probably the worst price was $600 each. Yes that's right $2400 for the lot. This was to replace the original set that it came from the factory with - it did get 36,000 kms out of them. This was from a tyre retailer in Bankstown - but no worries, its a lease car. I can assure you that I would have done some shopping around if it was coming out of my own pocket. One point was that the car didn't need a wheel alignment. The old set were worn evenly and the alignment was still spot on - must be getting better at dodging Sydney's pot holes.
  23. The video of the run can be downloaded from Zap's web site Zaps 5 sec run I was so pissed off that I missed the run as we were back in the pits after being eliminated in the quarter finals. Who's going to be the next driver to run a Doorslammer 5? My money would be on Gary Phillips - consistant 6.0's everywhere now.
  24. I'd be interested in a group buy. Any one else interested? With the additional inputs into the converter, it looks like I could still use the STB.
  25. Nice one Lodeo Here is a piccy of mine taken in Tassie. Good times eh JB
