  1. http://www.atomicperformanceproducts.com/anchorlox.html Looking at this I can't tell if you need the locking bolt kits or stud and locking nut kits for our standard turbos. I'm assuming you need the stud and locking nuts? And are Anchorlox and Stage 8 made by the same company? http://www.stage8.com/dealers/australia.html
  2. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BNIB-PUMA-MENS-FORD-FPV-FPR-F6-GT-GTP-XR8-XR6-TURBO-V8-RACING-CASUAL-SHOES-US9-/280763591144?pt=AU_Men_Shoes&hash=item415ed069e8#ht_2228wt_1189 Wonder if the right one is any heavier than the left.
  3. Yeah I know XForce do a kit with 4" dump, cat and mergers to join onto the stock mid section. Unless you can make everything up for well under the $900 cost for the kit, I hardly see it worthwhile.
  4. Think I've bought off this bloke before. He has N*Power in all of his pics, but his actual username is nahux.
  5. Mr Man, you da man. I was just about to post that.
  6. By that do you mean it starts flaking off or losing its shine, or that it just gets dirty looking pretty quickly?
  7. I'll be there in my complete stocker, just to see how these elite guys go. Judging by what I've seen and heard so far, I'll most likely be taking mine to them when I start modding up. Can't wait!
  8. Yeah to be honest, the improved spool claim was the initial attraction that made me want to get it done. I can still see the theory behind it. I'm guessing that the difference it makes is negligible. But then again, the lower under bonnet temps sound good enough for me, considering that my mate's uncoated exhaust manifold on his xr6t was glowing red after a few boots up a mountain on a cold night. (Think his tune was a bit off though.) And I've seen that you could get it done in 1400 degree silver, so it'll bling up the engine bay a bit. I'm sold.
  9. Oooooh yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I've heard of a few spots around Brisbane that I can get it done, so I won't have to worry about couriers. I'm on my phone at the moment so I can't really see up close, but is that an xforce dump? Just wanna make sure because from what I've seen they're pretty thin gauge. If it's all running sweet for you then I'll be doing the same. :D
  10. Anyone? Looks like nobodys ever done this.
  11. Hey everybody! I've been reading up on the threads for removal of the turbo in prep for the porting and valve mod. By the looks of it, I'd be willing to pull the lot off, manifold and all, saving me the terrible access to get to the turbo/manifold bolts. It got me thinking, while it were all out, is it worth it to get the exhaust housing and manifold both ceramic coated? Or would it be harmful in anyway? Like make the cast material more likely to crack? Reading up on a few other threads it also looks like people only get their mild steel dump pipes ceramic coated. I'm guessing this is because the stainless steel equivalent is most likely thinner gauge and more prone to cracking when coating. Is this correct? If that's the case, I'd be looking to see if I could get a full stainless system bar the dump. Have a coated mild steel dump on the front of it. Your thoughts?
  12. I'll keep looking around for exhausts then. Any problems with doing the turbo mod first up as it stands now? I may as well get that out of the way along with the clutch thrown in before I continue collecting parts.
  13. Yeah the surge tank sounds like a goer. For the turbo mod, you mean the wastegate porting and flapper mod, yeah? I'm a little worried if it'll hit up against the split dump.
  14. Hey guys. I've been lurking in and out of this forum for a few months now, sussing what I wanna do to my April '07 built BF II turbs with a manual and luxury pack. I'm still in the process of shopping around, seeing whats good and whats not, and it looks like I'm going to do it alot more before I decide on what I'm going to get and do. But first, a little intro... I bought her back in November '09 at 66,000km and racked them up to 101,000kms. I haven't really been interested in doing anything to it until a big tax return and a few big bonuses from work popped up. Now here I am. :D PICS! (These are from when I first bought the car.) Loving this grille. Its staying when I throw in a new cooler. And a few pics from last January with the 20" shoes she has now. Damn it was hard getting these things. Apparently there were only 5 sets of these in Oz at the time and I had to pay out the arse for freighting them up from Melbourne before someone else snatches them up. - And before anyone says it, I know she needs to drop at least an inch to really look good. Dead stock with a 10 psi generic SCT tune... for now. I've got a few parts laying around waiting to go in: Walbro GSS340, Siemens Deka 60s, triple gauge pod, Autometer cobalts, mechanical boost, electric oil press and a wideband AFR, and a Malwood Option 3+. Been looking around for more parts to buy and so far I'm convinced to get: CES full stainless turbo back exhaust and a Rapid v4.5 cooler kit. I know its all at the high end of the scale, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and all for reliability, so I'm willing to pay more in high quality parts to end up with a nice safe tune that will last. Let's say I'm looking for around 400rwkw for now. Any thoughts or comments? Am I over or underdoing it with the parts I'm looking at? Anything else I should consider? Anything I'll be limited by in terms of internals? Fire away!
