It's a grey area with some high performance warranty but if your confident in you tuner your fine. I can safely say I know 100% if any part of my car broke Cms would love after me as they currently are right now. I personally think the prices for the zf's are crazy high but that's the going rate and you get what you pay for in the performance world. Just weird how I have a 1000hp+ box for $4000 love it
He's meaning he's trans shop will do the zf with the nizzy shaft for a cheaper price then cms's box built with only a Cyro shaft... I bet $1000 the 1000+hp clutches that Cms use and mods to the box would crap all over what that said trans builder does.... And then when your trans builder builds the box what happens tuning wise?
Don't waste your time at bta! There shafts are braking daily. And the tuner is a *beep* for warranty. Iirc a built box from Cms was about $4500 and add $2K for billet shaft! Get the box from same shop as tuner or else warranty will be a bastard. I'm glad I had the dirty btr and went th400 because this zf crap is ridiculous the price for parts and servicing is crazy! I serviced my th400 for $80 Yeap while service $80!!! If you wanna risk paying more in the long run just do the wearing parts and risk the shaft or pay $6-7k now and not worry ever again
Based on that size I would say it would be fair to compare it with a process west 3 cooler, 500x425x100 is the process west size. I've done a few high 400rwkw pulls on the dyno and IT climbed 5 degrees.
Have 2 7psi springs, I'll chase down a graph Found with the 3.5" exhaust gate pressure was about 1psi higher then spring pressure, But now with the 4" system it's a tad higher! I think the 45mm gate is a little small for my setup now,
I went superpro solid center, comfort sides! In 2 years never broken one and never broken a bolt or diff hat. With way over 400rwkw and a very very harsh th400 I'm amazed they have lasted. Don't know if it's luck or what! Done atleast 100 1/4 passes and a lot of skids & hard driving. I can't rate them highly enough.
I had the btr 4spd. Removed it for a th400. BEST MOD EVER went from mid 11's and breaking boxes to now low low 10's and the box is bullet proof. $9K drive in drive out 1000hp box Converter 1000hp tailshaft Stock diff 10.3 @ 139mph Best with the 4spd was a 11.5 that was with 70rwkw less though. Shifter looks sticking with just a b&m knob, can fit a manual knob and then it will look 100% stock as they use a manual console to house it anyways. I have trans brake but never used it (stock rear end won't like it)
Yes, new longs from ford have no numbers! Remove trans and have a look at the sticker on the back of the motor, May idem it it a tad better. If rear dipstick has been blocked off you know it's fg converted. Not much else you can find out.
