  1. So how much timing is considered "safe" on a stock motor & E85? When do heads start to lift?
  2. Kosij

    Detonation

    Go visit a real tuner.
  3. Bta strikes again. What did the repair cost you second time around?....... And first time?
  4. If I start mine after say 9am it's fine within 2-3 cranks it's started but of I try earlier and it's about 3-10 degrees it takes much longer, but a few primes and I'm away so it doesn't bother me at all
  5. What sort of boost gauge? Pics?
  6. Good that you fixed it BUT keep in mind if anything similar happens remove the coils and sell them on feebay for any $ you can get. Then go genuine nothing beats genuine, fraud spend millions & millions of dollars on R&D so I assume they no what's good and what's sh*t Good that it's fixed though.
  7. How was your cold start today?
  8. Yes you do King springs website will clarify what I said. Sorry but at least you no the issue You need kffl-57ssl. Not "53" Have no idea why they changed them and made the body longer but spring shorter after 07/07
  9. Did you crank it just before the prime finished? Let me know how .5 goes! As said mine was the same as yours before, I'm starting it here at about 3-10 degrees ambient temp!
  10. ^ would be the same as turbotrana has mentioned with hp, there's tables for cranking, cold then normal temp. Mines at .7 lambda cranking. Never had the problem before and I haven't even spoken to my tuner about it because it isn't really a issue I'm worried about but I will have a chat with him next time and see what he thinks
  11. Must be using ba struts! Ba-bf use smaller struts If you use the bf mkII struts there longer so springs come shorter. Shorter spring in shorter strut! I believe there's your probelm 07/07 onwards had the struts for the kffl-53.. Spring
  12. Yellow top in the boot has had a hard life but lives on. As I said before used to start Instanlty and I was amazed with it. Now with another 044 & no check valve this is what happens. Will add another check valve and see what happens
  13. Cold start no priming - Big difference so if fuel pressure doesn't play a role what is?
  14. Mine used to start BETTER then my 98 and my 98 starts 1-2 cranks! When you prime the car it pressurizes the system so fuels there ready to start but because E85 is a *beep* when cold I believe because I have no check valves the system is depressurizing so once primed pressure is gone and it just winds over & over & over. Funny how if I prime it say 4-5 times it starts first go! Whys that? Cold start with priming -
  15. Here here! About 15 seconds to start!!! Think it's More pump related then tune. if I was to prime the car say 3-4 times it then starts straight away but if not it takes about 15 Seconds of continuous winding over to crank, also at 0.7 lambda on start up... Only have one check valve on my 044's not sure if this plays a role with pressure on startup And the same as you. Once started it cranks first of every go.
  16. more then just sugar affects pricing.
  17. Replacing the remaining ball joints, also changing struts only to find the dreaded knocks are still there..... Looks like upper control arm bushes are next :/
  18. My 10.2 run
  19. Cars get stolen everyday! What's the big deal!!!!
  20. ^ x 4 being released at $640 a lot cheaper then the current value of the x 3! Won't be disappointed visiting Cms that's for sure.
  21. Swivel/rose joints. 2 upper 1 lower easy to do with the correct tools! Common problem.
  22. ^ couldn't agree more.
  23. Had weapon x. = poo Even 400, 500, 600, 700 rwkw cars run genuine ford coils. For $250 genuine is the way to go.
  24. Anyone got instructions on wiring in a auto meter tach adaptor into our cars?
