    plenty of forums and what not to read through and find the perfect mods to start of with.. I believe there is actually a forum that recommends first mods... have a read there is plenty of useful info on here
  2. wow really? im with Just Car, Im 22 on a rating 2 paying $2280.. hoping to see a good drop going to rating 1 in August if all goes well.. Iv alos got all my mods listed but that's quite a list.. only thing I dont like is they value my car at $26,000... gonna give them a call and try to get that up a bit though...

  4. okay update with how im tracking... car went in and took 3-4 weeks for them to get back to me.. as I knew the engine was down the sh*tter, the heads not to much damage and can be fixed the oil pump is still good and obviously the sump is rooted... later that day called atomic.. $7,900 for the 698 Short + $150 for a new sump + $336 for delivery to Townsville.. havent put the order in yet but will probably be going ahead with it on Monday... thoughts? good points the internals was only thing holding me back from 500+rwkw so will hopefully see that mark with the 698 short...
  5. Hey Dave, I actually just got off the phone to those guys in your link. My car goes in on Monday.. Fingers crossed the head is good.. If it is it will be a FG F6 short going in if head is buggered.. back to the drawing board to think of my next step... possibly buy the F6 short still and get a head through Atomic.. or buy the BF MK II engine off ebay and a rebuild kit from Atomic and get all that fitted...
  6. Hmm Im able to get a FG F6 short from where I am (Townsville) for $4076.70 so is this a bit steep? also they require a BF sump dont they? If my heads are fine they will go straight onto the short engine? If my heads are buggered whats my best next step? Sorry about all the questions guys.. Im currently trying to find a decent mechanic up here but seem most of them are full on for the next few months and cant help out to much...
  7. Also in reference to getting a short engine.. as I havent had the engine stripped down yet.. even though it was blown the heads could still be good?? is this correct or will they deff be buggered?
  8. In reference to getting a FG F6 short Iv called ford and they don't give out FPV parts unless you have one is there anyway to get around that??
  9. The sump has pretty much disappeared... and the block has a hole on each side the engine will be taken out over the next week or so...

  11. yes its the one on ebay.. =) It looks like a pretty good buy... thanks for the help.. can anyone shed some light on the manifold wiring? If Im correct that shouldnt be an issue??

  13. I blew the engine in my Falcon it turned out to be bad fuel that blew it... (not happy) anyways I was running 410rwkw through a BF mkII which Iv been told isnt to much drama... anyways when I blew it as you can imagine made a big mess of th e block and the sump.. now Im looking at a new block and I know my next question is gonna sound super stupid.. but I dont want to ask these questions at a mechanic cause they will probaly take advantage of it and charge me a sh*t tin... the engine I have found is a BF mkII block it has had the sump weilded professionally as it had a crack.. will this cause dramas down the road? also it doesnt come with Manifold Wiring, oil pump and accessories.. I dont think I need any of those things anyway right? and If I do what is needed? any help on this is muchly appreciated... thanks in advance, Peever.

  16. was tuned at Hi-flow but seemed fine to me.. there pretty good with late model falcons they built Kents 1000hp XR6T ute I believe.. in regards to atomic does anybody have any idea of there prices?
  17. main things changed/upgraded - T51R turbo, surgetank, intercooler, manifolds, 4" exhaust, screamer, gearbox, injectors yea I thought it was a bit odd as iv seen more power go through these engines on stock internals for much further than 30,000klms... trust me its a bitch cause insurance doesnt cover "wear and tear"
  18. hey all I own a 2007 BF mkII.. basically worked of its head running 19 PSI 409rwkw and the other week blew my engine.. block is a total mess now.. basically Im just asking advice on what my best option would be from here... the engine had 32,000 klms on it.. basically iv looked into a few options like getting another BF mkII engine and putting forged internals etc in it that way I can put all my go fast bits onto it still.. however Im not as mechanically minded as I would like to be so any help on ideas is very much appreciated.. another question will an FG motor fit straight in as a replacement to my current engine? so everything I can swap over will fit? thanks for any help you can give me, Jared.

  20. Hey all I recently bought an xr6 turbo however I have a few question that I havent been able to find answer on in google.. Im hoping someone hasent asked them already.. I did try find them already.. anyways here it goes.. sorry if they seem stupid haha... first of question with "flash tuner" my question is: I have a Capa flash tuner now I believe these can hold 3 tunes right? okay so to get tunes into them I take it to whatever shop and get tunes put in.. once there in there am I able to change between the tunes myself? if so how do I do it? my next question... I currently have 255 tyres on my xr6t, whats the widest I can go before it wont fit on my car without a tub? whats good for traction can anyone recommend something? atm I have problem getting traction =( thanks for taking the time to read this

    Hey all Iv just bought a 07 BF MK II XR6 Turbo.. my first ford.. have always been a Expensive Daewoo man but took some for a drive and couldnt stay away.. anyways I decided to buy it with a few mods already done.. 409RWKW and will be looking for more.. ill put a list of mids and some photos up tomorrow.
