  2. I spoke to service manager at dealership refused warranty Then advised me to ring FPV... FPV spoke to Service manager at Dealership and refused me warranty also?? its a circle with FPV in the centre.. What dealership did you use to fix under warranty?
  3. Nope.. Same ride height... And I think I have been fairly good with my attitude... even to the point that I have agreed to pay for the fix... I am just not going to let it happen to me again... Blonk, I would b interested to know the details so I can ring them up and give them an example...
  4. Before owning a F6 I owned a WRX, I had Docklands fit suspension and swaybars as I like a car stiff and sure footed on the road, not to mention safer and more confidance inspiring. So naturally when I brough my F6 I was pretty concerned with the amount of sway and lurch these family sized sedans have. So I fitted springs and a swaybar as I have done in tha past. It transformed the car completly and has been a joy to drive since. Today the mount for the rear diff sheared off, and Ford and FPV took a stirn stance on fixing it under warranty. I argued as much as I could but it was a no go, I can see thier point. But I want to warn you other Ford owners that the grass is greener elsewhere. My WRX after about 12 months of having the suspension fitted, chewed a rear LSD and a front, hub. Subaru could have taken the same stance and refused warranty. However they truly do have customer loyalty and replaced both for me under warranty. I can surly say that even though some may argue that warranty is black and white, other brands do err on the side of actually looking after thier future customer. On this occasion I can do nothing as FPV told me, but I can assure them I will never buy another Ford or recommend them ever again. My wifes territory will not be replaced by another Ford and my XR6 ute will not be replaced by another Ford. For the sake of a ~$1000 they ar going to lose out over all... Fool me once, Fool of me twice...
  5. I'd like a set of these as well... but what am I in for on the fittment and retune?
  6. I am looking for a suspension workshop in Melbourne's east who knows what they are doing when it comes to XR6T or F6's for that matter. Someone who can talk options and has a bit of experiance... And if possible not try and charge me $1000 for springs...

    What Pads To Use

I have had the drilled 4000's before and the holes cracked... DBA recomended I don't get the Drilled rotors and only use the Slotted for Road and occasional track... I can promise about 6-7 hot laps at Sanddown with the Slotted 4000's and Lucas pads.

    What Pads To Use

This is a little bit left of field for a Pad recomendation becasue you don't hear thier name thrown around that often. I can't recommend Lucas Pads enough. They are No.1 performance pad in europe and are a used a lot by corvette owners in the US. The guy who I sourced them through said out of all the stuff he sells these had the most versatile operating temps without being a track pad, and in some cases were better than track pads... I have had them on my previous car (WRX) and now on the Typhoon with DBA4000 they are quiet, clean and purposeful.

  10. Wish mine came with rockets! especially for the right hand lane obstructions
  11. I have no idea, I am thinking of doing a few DECA days and want something a little harder wearing, and am willing to compramise grip! plus drifting in the F6 is too much fun. Who needs traction for that? I was looking at some www.yhi.com.au tyres. Dodgy as! I had a tyrepower guy recommend Nexen for what I want. I suppose I will have to update you in a few weeks after fitting them.
  12. I think I like the BA better but I am bias. http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_...fpv-bf-2006.htm
  13. Soft... 18000kms in the phoon on standard issue rubber, and I am on wear strips, front and back. I am hoping for a longer wearing tyre this time around.

Yeah I saw him around...a black one. Sooo whats the go? A mate of yours? Rob... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah... he had just picked the car up. He said he ran into a bunch or 'fun' lovin XR6T owners... I think he is a little pissed now, after finding out how much the replacement tyres will cost.

  25. I was told it is just a reflash. No extra/new components. and will be done with clutch replacments. It is designed to give owners more 'juice' in FPV's words. I am not sure exactly how or what they are doing. this info would be great if anyone could get it. FINER6
