  9. nice car mate, made some good power! very interested to see what it can pull on e85 mix. was it manual or auto?

I meant to say 'dumping the clutch' lol yeah I mite invest in it, I think I will need the surge tank and upgraded tail shaft before I consider doing it though. Why is it you don't just run straight E85? What's the mix actually do?

All good Possum, I should have mentioned it earlier, though blame Nizpro for changing there kits. Though its looks like your hotside pipe is smaller than mine, and it doesn't appear to rub on the bonnet like mine does... yeah definitely glad I bought the manual, although its not great for the 1/4 mile you cant deny the smile that comes to your face after dumping and sending the car completely sideways

All the work was done by Nizpro, so sh*t I'm only guessing that they used their own parts. It is an older kit though, was put on at least 2 years ago so things may have changed since then. Yeah I may well de-badge it Mika, though pretty sure most that attempt to drag me get a pretty big surprise, and I'm sure they quickly wish they hadn't tried. I'm a bit wary of the E85 KWIKF6, I reckon I mite do some serious damage to the engine with the extra power it will put out as I haven't touched it internally. Here's a photo of the front Dillz
  13. you don't happen to have any links to information on the FG F6 turbo? or where they have been discussing the benefits of this turbo? I searched in the turbo section of this forum but couldnt find anything specific.
  14. that's good to know about the FG F6 GT35r, I always assumed they were identical in every way to the turbo's fitted to XR6T BA-BF. Any idea's how much more power the FG F6 turbo can handle?

yeah pretty happy with the nizpro exhaust FordFreak1 but I find after a decent flogging my cats make all these crackling sounds as they are cooling down, there possibly too close to the engine. I guess my 1/4 mile time will depend greatly on how well I can drive on the day. Still gotta fit the surge tank and tail shaft before I can consider doing anything though. Hopefully when it comes time I can back up my power on the strip! Cheers for the comments on my car as well guys

the wheels are 20in advanti racing rims, 275s on rear and 245s up front. you can see I need to respray the callipers on the rear. I'm not entirely sure about the details of the suspension setup, I was told it was lowered and that was about it, was done prior to me buying the vehicle. Drives smoother than my bro's BA turbo so I'm assuming that they did it all properly. Brakes are slotted rotors with 6 pot brembos callipers up front (not sure of the rotor size) and standard rears, pretty tough capa clutch installed... no slip when dumping the clutch at 80klicks in 4th, well other than the tyres... however that's in the wet. not sure what else there is too say, the outside is pretty standard, doesn't attract a lot of attention which suits me just fine. It'll leave black marks 1st, 2nd and 3rd but will only really spin 1st and 2nd well.

Yeah indeed, though it is nice to generate a large power figure. Not sure what kind of time I would pull, too many variables such as how well I change, temperature, nerves etc. Though I'd like to do it with my normal tyres just so then its a repeatable figure on both the 1/4 and the street. I want a figure I can generate everyday that I take it out of the garage.

Guess I'll have to stick it on a Victorian dyno and see how it goes Dillz... a quarter mile time is what I really want though, no one can question that result, though might be more difficult being manual. Cheers F6mark, its good to be classed as a high powered FG.

I wouldn't mind taking it down the quarter as a power figure means very little if the car can't back it up. Just need to get the last few parts on before I give it a run. Its running the gt35r turbo and all the parts were supplied and fitted by Nizpro aside from the SS inductions cold air.

Hi guys, just posting to say I cracked 400 last week in my FG XR6T. It ran 17psi and on 98 to achieve this figure. It also has had the Nizpro stage 3 kit fitted, for those that don't know it consists of: Nizpro FMIC Nizpro injectors Nizpro 4in exhaust Nizpro 3in FMIC piping F6 turbo SS inductions CAI X-cal 3 It also has 6 spot brembo brakes and 20in tyres with 275's on the rear Very near future plans are for a nizpro tailshaft, turbo side intake and a surge tank plus re-tune I've attached my dyno sheet and a photo of the engine bay (though its not a very good photo)
  21. nizpro originally tuned the car, then it was taken to a nizpro re-seller in adelaide called adelaide performance engineers and I took it back to them for the latest tune. I will admit im extremely surprised its held up so well, as its done 30,000kms on the standard fuel pump when running around the 380rwkw mark. but surge tank is definitely the next thing to be done.
  22. Nah I haven't as of yet, I'm tempted to wait until I have finished it off as I'm sure the only response will be 'surge tank' haha
  23. yeah I guess its going to be some grandma style driving for me, going to be hating life, but will hate it even more with a cooked engine. Cheers for directing me to the surge tank topic
