    yeah still running the single 044 on the surge tank. next pay will probly upgrade to the new PW surge system that has the walbro 460 pump on it.

    Yeah tailshaft and all the joints are upgraded, only part that wasn't was the spline or whatever it is that goes into the diff. The ZF will eventually require a rebuild, though they reckon it should last quite a while on street tyres now that it has been returned to exactly how it came out the factory. The diff bushes finally crapped themselves last night as well, so will go and get them replaced under warranty but using nolathane bushes

    yeah plan is to race it eventually, just gotta be back from work when the drags are on. morpowa said they would lend me some slicks so will be taking them up on that offer for the nationals in november
  5. Yeah best of luck Jet, a lot of people talk about doing something epic like you have but never have the balls to do it. Good on ya for taking the leap and glad to hear its going well. look forward to seeing your car run a mid 10 with your own tune

    The F6s are a stronger engine but the XR6t engine are still good for plenty of power. mine only made 405 on 98, threw in e85 and used the same boost and 450+kw. I'm sure some FG XR6ts have gone boom at even less than 400, I think a lot comes down to the tuner though. I don't expect mine to last forever, but it will probably last longer than it would have on 98 fuel.

    SCT911 my tuner said 440 was the max he wanted to push through the stock engine, the car had different ideas though. We think it would have gone 470+ on the first run but the plug was pulled at 454rwkw at under 5000rpm. Pulled out a bit of timing and managed to get it down to a peak 452. Still has stock valve springs, but I can't see them holding out all that long.

    E85 + ID1000s = 452rwkw... street tune 17 degrees of timing and 21psi. it's insanity
  10. turbo side intake + batt relocation is not a necessity at your power goal, K+N filter should suffice.
  11. well turns out the 72lbs are definitely not going to cut it, will have to spend more coinage and get some 1000s. will push the 044 to its limit and then that will do. Gonna go for a stronger diff Matt?
  12. yeah I think that you're correct Jet, I'm not against making a flat 400kw on e85 especially when I can pull out a heap of boost and have an engine that will run cleaner, smoother and safer.
  13. cheers Jet, can hopefully pull a few pounds of boost out and still make 430-440ish. though that will be very dependant on my fuel system as im only running 1 044 and 72lb injectors. time will tell what they can flow

  15. last year in september I paid 40k drive away for my new 2012 MK2 FG XR6t auto with leather and reverse sensors.

    Yeah it was a bit more boost then I would have liked to run, but Simon at Morpowa said that it was safe. So here's to hoping he's correct. All I know is that it pulls a lot harder than the last turbo

    Finally back into the 400s. Got it tuned today and it peaked out at 408.1rwkw and it was tuned to 405 on the dot. I took for it a quick spin and it pulls pretty damn hard, the GTX3582 doesn't really feel any laggier than the old GT35. Can't wait to have my tailshaft built so that I can use the power. scan0001.pdf scan0002.pdf

    well the GTX is all bolted up, gets tuned on tuesday
  22. FG MK2 upgrades - touch screen, traction control that actually works even with 400kw, reverse sensors standard... that's about all I can think of
