Yeah, Benny I'll try get it all prepped for the cruise. hopefully it survives the dyno as I wouldnt mind pushing 480-500 out of it. Chaos, to be honest if the PW stage 3 is anything like my nizpro cooler then it wont do well. Will see how the new one goes on tuesday.
-
so got the car back, still not tuned yet (happens next tuesday). but here are some pics of the final product. Big thanks to Jon Bailey (stimata) for all his hard work!
-
so here are a couple of pics, new cooler (without endtanks) compared with the nizpro one. the nizpro cooler is about 80mm thick.
-
I'll have a chat to Simon about what other data he may have when I take the car in in a few weeks to edit the tune for the new cooler. absolutely no idea, they did plug in a few things but I didn't ask about them.
-
sorry bjc, only had it printed with intake temps and power. I will try and get more data on the new intercooler when it is fitted in a few weeks.
-
haha yeah Ben, good ol' Jonny at mount compass. dropping it off this sunday and picking her up when im back from work. will be very interesting to see how much better the new cooler performs especially after the huge increase Jonny got out of his GTX3576
-
GTX3582. A good mate is building me a new cooler so that we can do some comparisons between the intercoolers. obviously nizpro make one of the better bar and plates so its a good platform to test his against. I'll post up the results of the new cooler in a few weeks. I may still go back and re-run this cooler as we did three runs when it was making less power (420ish) immediately prior to doing the two posted.
-
For those interested; here is some data on my nizpro intercooler as it will be coming off in the coming weeks for a huge tube and fin cooler. the car was running 19psi and 15 degrees of timing on e85. air temp was 23 degrees

Xr 6T Fg Mk Ii Auto Driveline Jolt Backing Off The Gas Normal ?
ripped6 replied to Turbine11's topic in Driveline Workshop
I find driving it in manual mode and grabbing another gear just before taking your foot off the go pedal reduces the jolt. -
I doubt too many are going down as it got canned again. damn Adelaide weather
-
Hi Jon, I had booked in for this Sundays drags but obviously the weather has ruined that. will be out there for the 27th of july. yeah definitely need to catch up man, I flew in last night so got 2 weeks off and plenty of spare time
-
looks crazy good Jon, look forward to seeing the results on the dyno! getting simon to tune it? I'll be in there next week dropping my bro's BA in.

raced in full street trim today and this is the best I could get out of it. 60ft is disgraceful. my time is the one on the right

list of mods?
-
fantastic car you have there phil, the turbo territories have so much potential for a 4wd! get it dyno tuned and it will be great fun. best of luck with the modding. Here's a youtube link to an F6x http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvrqRNeNWyw

change your exhaust and you will get a lot more torque, or at the minimum upgrade the dump pipe since you already have the high flow cat

Fg G6Et Mk Ii Bluetooth Phone Compatability?
ripped6 replied to turbotom's topic in Audio/Visual Workshop
That's strange, my MK2 FG XR6 works fine with my old S2 but refuses to connect with my new S4. Have you tried updating the software on your S2? I attached the compatibility list as well for ya Ford_Falcon_Bluetooth_Compatibility_Guide.pdf -

you bloody beauty! I can go to this event! wonder if its worth trying it using my achilles atr sport tyres lol
-
Dejavu I also thought the long flutter was from the overboost valve, however that is just the sound of the air going back through the turbo and out the filter as the overboost valve actually takes the place where a blow off valve is usually fitted. The overboost valve is a single loud expulsion of air, first time I heard it I thought it was my input shaft breaking as it released on a gear change. Rims are Vertini Drift

The autos are lame and boring in comparison to a manual, The best thing to do is get yourself some e85 and then swap out your F6 cooler for something big and you might find that it goes a whole lot better. It will never feel like a manual does but you will always beat them in straight line dragging. depends what you prefer.

Nah not having any dramas at all with the surge and 044, but I am pretty sure that I am past the limits of the single 044. intank pump is standard lol I'll do it if you do F6 has forged pistons I believe
