  1. I did just have a brief read through the surge tank section. I should have realised that tests carried out on a dyno cannot take into account the effects of G-forces in regards to the pumps ability to sustain sufficient flow rate. Surge tank is now on the list when it goes in for the strengthened tail shaft and turbo side intake.
  2. I've just been reading through this thread, about 3 months ago I purchased a FG XR6T (prem sound + leather) which had the nizpro stage 3 kit fitted, it was pulling 383rwkw with a stock fuel pump for the past 2 and a bit years. I recently got it retuned at the same place to 407rwkw still running the stock fuel pump. I had the pump tested prior to the retune to make sure it could maintain the fuel flow as the safety of my engine is priority number 1, they were able to increase the fuel demand required by the engine at all revs by an added 20% to make sure it was well within safe limits and it appeared to have no issues with the extra demand. Just thought I would share the results I have found whilst using the stock FG fuel pump. Unfortunately its not a huge money saver by not changing it.
  3. yeah I assumed it would give more power, was just trying to work out whether it is sizeable and thus worth while (over my ss inductions CAI) as im at the point where the next step is a big one and requires a bigger turbo and then gotta strengthen everything to survive that.
  4. anyone know if there is much difference in power between the ss growler kit on the factory setup compared with doin the battery relocation and placing the intake on the right side?
  5. that's the spirit! anyone got any ideas when the next cruise might be held?

    Worked Fg

Hi Guys, I'm pretty new to this site. But I've been looking at buying a worked 2008 FG XR6 turbo. Its currently running 383rwkw and has the stage 3 Nizpro kit fitted. It has an un-modified 6 speed manual and standard diff. The clutch is the only driveline upgrade. Its done almost 50,000 kilometers, any ideas on what generally tends to break on these cars with this kind of power? I've heard the diff bushes tend to go, anyone know of anything else to look out for? Cheers, Jarrad
