I knew you'd weigh in. :-P If I had of been willing to wait I could have bought the house and had spare money. But good solid house on 2200m2 with a view and a big shed doesn't come up as often as I would like. I think this will work for the best. Put enough money in the offset account to negate interest. Then just forget about it for 18 months. Problem is now I'm looking at it like: I want to redo the whole fence, build a carport on the front of the shed, replace all the carpets, get rid of the vinyl, replace the wooden retaining wall with sandstone, build the little fella a cubby house. Put a slippery slide down each of the levels of the block for the little guy and maybe put in a bigger fireplace.
