  2. I don't doubt it Lennox. But I did it my way. And I blocked a sh*t load of wood to dry out for my fire this winter. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
  3. Fark yeah pixie! You must be stoked it's all coming together!! As for my house. Well.. I was sitting outside having a beer. When I noticed a tree blocking my view. Official decision was made. Tree had to go.. Obviously that meant that I would consider getting rid of the tree in the next 5 to 10 years if I didn't sell the place first. But then mother nature had another idea. She gave us a bit of rain and a stiff breeze and this happened This inspired me to climb the tree and have a quick look at its condition. This was when I noticed that it had previously been cut back and allowed to regrow, so all the massive limbs (15 or so metres high at max) had sprouted from the cut off stumps which had started to rot out. So I moved into getting rid of all the tall limbs that posed significant risk to mine and my neighbours garden sheds and my cat cage and dog box. Who said 18V chainsaws are crap? I actually found the little 18V far easier to climb the tree with and a lot safer to use when you don't have a lot of control of where you position yourself relative to the cut. Anyway little 18V Ryobi chainsaw has my vote for best bang for buck garden tool I've bought so far (tough choice between it and the fiskars weed puller). Anyway with the large limbs that were a risk to property gone. Back up I went. This time with a Stihl 20" chainsaw. Two days of hard work (both days involved afternoon naps and evening BBQ) The 20" wasn't big enough to ever actually cut through the tree so had to cut as much as possible and finish with wedges and a big sledge. Still have a sh*t load to clean up. But damn! Should have taken that photo from the patio with a beer. But I f*cked my arm so I can only hold one thing at a time.
  4. Well she made it to the cafe then realised there was about 6 missed calls from me so she turned around. The police were great. Just from looking at the footage they don't think I've done anything wrong. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
  5. Oh and double post I know. But I heard that on the radio about 2 minutes before I hit a cyclist. Well to be fair. I hit his bike. With my car. Not him. And it further clarify it wasn't intentional! (Even though that's crossed my mind from time to time). Anyway made lucky by the fact that I actually tool the time yesterday evening to install my dash cam that has been in a box for over 6 months. I was following the wife to have another Crack at 5 kids in a cafe (because we were both going stir crazy with them all in the house). Dodge little narrow back road that I don't like taking a car on so I imagine the lycra wearing f*cktard actually wanted to get hit. He was riding about 1m away from the edge of the road wife slowed to about 70 (100 zone) and pulled out and went around him. I waited a few seconds longer and as I started to pull out and accelerate a car came the other way over a crest. So I hit the skids and went to pull back in behind the cyclist right as he also hit the skids and moved further into my lane to dodge a pothole. So I really jumped on the anchors putting the little WRX's brakes to full use and gave him a bit of a love tap on his back tyre. Which caused him to fall off. He rolled around like a soccer player for a while. Police were called. They viewed the dash cam footage in the car with me before taking it. To give you an indicator of how gentle the love tap was. It didn't even buckle the back rim of his bike. Don't get me wrong. It could have been disastrous. Especially if I had of attempted to still pass him without giving him sufficient room. End of the day he's alive. I'm alive. We all got a fright. Now he's being a complete khunt about it. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
  6. I heard an awesome one today on the radio. 'May help you achieve your target weight when combined with regular exercise and reduced calories'. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
  7. So WPMO? After what can be described as a sh*t of a few months changing jobs and having another kid turn up.. I realised that it's been over 12 months since I had any real 'me' time. Since buying this house I've dedicated every spare moment outside work to doing stuff around the house and looking after the little guy. After much debate I convinced the wife to let me have a proper blokes outing today. 18 holes of golf, break for lunch and beer with taxis there and back. My sister in law went into labour last night which meant we got an extra couple rug rats to look after which meant I had to pull the pin on golf. That's okay. I mean it's life. sh*t happens. So anyway pack up two cars with kids and head out to a local cafe/garden where 3 of the kids can amuse themselves easily while we get coffee and milkshakes and biscuits. Coffee shop was having phone repairs done by Telstra. So it was cash only. As someone who doesn't often carry much cash this resulted in the kids and the missus all getting their orders and me missing out. I mean first world problems extreme but today just seems like a crap day. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
