Hi all, Another noob question, but here it goes, If I end up getting the Automatic (semi-auto) and start changing the gears up and down, down gearing and stuff like that, does it harm the the gearbox or is it made for things like that? I was thinking if I get the maneuel I might start getting sick of it while im stuck in traffic and yeahhh, also, is there much lag in changing the gears in the semi-auto? thanks guys

yes, alot of people are telling me auctions also, but would they even sell xr6 Turbo's? at auctions aren't they usually ex company cars? lol which company would give their employees xr6 Turbo's hehhehe.... I would also like to know if anyone has bought their car from the auctions.

yep so far ive understood that hehe.. I do have a question though, I was having coffe with a Expensive Daewoo vy ss driver and he talks alot of sh*t, but he reckons that the xr6T gets about 300km per tank driving normally.. lol is this true? I could understand it if you flooring the car throughout the whole tank but driving normally? and also, I couldnt find a 'traction control' button in the BA MK1 is this with all xr6's or just the BA MK1? lol took it for a test drive and gave it half throtle thing started sliding abit lol... sorry for all the questions but I want to kno these things before I end up buying one... and I know most of you here enjoying helping people like me out lol.. thanks agian

hahahaha lol yep drove my first turbo today, still cant get the smile off my face was amazing not only the power but the comfortability (if that's a word lol) drives soooo smoothly.. it was a BA MK1 5 speed manuel I know alot of ppl are saying they have alot of problems but it was only the first one I test drove so hopefully ill be testing out other ones iswell, it was at a cardealer lol the dealer wanted to swap my car plus an extra 8k on top I just started laughing and walked out (BTW, I have a mercedes clk 320, in immaculate condition) so as soon as I get rid of that the turbo is coming hehe... CANT WAIT

ok understood. now if I do end up for some stupid reason getting a 5 speed while on the test drive what are things I should look out for in the gearbox? thanks.

ohhhhh ok I get it now, on carsales.com.au when I look up BA MK2 it comes up with 4 speed auto, because there is no other option for them to put 6 speed auto!! (I think) lol

okay, so dont get the 5 speed... sounds like you had alot of sh*t experinces with that gearbox lol.. so any xr6 after the BA MK2 is ok to get? basically any xr6 except not the BA MK1, correct? thanks

ive been looking at BA's over the net and when I click on BA MK 2 they still say 4 speed automatic, im not quite understanding how you said series 2 have the 6 speed T56.. sorry

ok ready lol, the only reason im looking at BA's is because they are cheaper, haven't got alot of money at the moment. secondly im looking to get it in Manuel and lastly, not looking at getting any series mods done, nothing to major and if I do it would be An off the shelf tune with injectors a k&n panel filter and a lower cold air intake from a Typhoon. so, now whats bugging me is not sure on what gearbox to get for this because not straight away but eventually I will do those mods and nothing more, so from all you're guys experience what gearbox do you think will suite me? will I be ok with a BA 5 speed manuel? thanks again guys.

hi everyone, just a quick question, I was just wondering if anyone here puts there dog on the back of the ute... just because im about to buy a xr6t ute for work and also because of my dog but im not sure on how to tie him up... so if anyone has done this before or have photos or something, would be much appreciated. thanks in advance eddy
