These engines use a cylinder head temp sensor which is located on the back of the cylinder head

Did he bring up the LOCK_U_SOL pid? Monitors torque converter lock up solenoid.

There is no "lockdown" on the immobiliser, the PATS reciever (illuminated ring around ignition barrel) can sometimes cause a problem, grab one from a wrecker and next time it does it chuck it on and see if it fixes it.

Oh yeah I was just talking real world as in whats actually happening in the cylinder, theres still no way they can tell if an individual cylinder is slightly lean using ids

That would be p0301, and that code is only a missfire indicator, doesnt indicate whether its rich or lean just that there is a miss or has been a miss in that cylinder. If its an igniton related miss the cylinder would be rich due to fuel not being burnt but if its an injector or manifold gasket leak the cylinder will be lean due to either no/minimal fuel injection, or excessive/unmetered air intake into the cylinder. Just by plugging ids in theres no way they can tell

Unless the dealer has tapped egt pickups into the exhaust runners (which they havent) there is no possible way for them to know that cylinder 1 is lean. They can determine if the overall mixture is lean but as for cylinder specific its impossible.

Hahaha I have never ever ever seen a zf resurected after just a flush... Prepare for major dramas, its not like the old btr's and even then they are 50/50 with flushing milkshakes, actually more like 80/20

Far out! Being a ford emplyee why not get it serviced at broadmeadows? I realise they mostly do r&d but fark surely theyd work something out for u?? After all they do service the staff cars

Yep they do that... If its not reaching a high enough temp theres no reason for the fans to come on at all. Also if the circuit fails the check engine warning will come up on the dash.

It has a panic alarm, not a theft alarm. The red button sets the horn off so you can find your car in a parking lot or draw attention to yourself incase of trouble etc
