  1. Went up to C&V Performance today to check the tune on my XR6T, after I had the rear muffler removed. Tune was safe and power had increased to 371rwkw. With my stock bottom end, Con recommended to leave it at that! Guess the X-Force rear muffler I had on my car was cr@p, very restrictive! Again thanks to C&V for helping me out, also Kev for letting me get it done in worktime.......... thanks Boss
  2. I went and saw Brad at 'Oak Flats Muffler Men' and he replaced the rear muffler with a 3.5" section of exhaust piping. He used the original flange to connect it, so I can put the muffler back on easily if I wanted to, as usual, he did a great job. As for the noise........ At laboring rpm its a little droney and louder, but at cruising speeds its not much different. I have only given it small squirts (waiting for re-tune), and it sounds a lot less restrictive under acceleration than it did before.
  3. Well, I got the rear muffler taken off yesterday afternoon and first impressions are a big difference! The car feels noticeably faster, revs quicker, sounds un-restricted and is running 2 p.s.I more boost from just that change alone. I will get the tune done as soon as possible before I give it a proper acceleration test, but it feels better.
  4. Yes it is. The car has a PROCESS WEST Race Plenum Kit, PROCESS WEST Surge Tank, PROCESS WEST Cai, larger injectors and an X-Force exhaust. Yes it is steep, it comes on boost quick and hard! On one of the dyno runs, it hit 366rwkw, but boost was 19psi. From reading other posts, I have learnt that the rear muffler on the X-Force 3.5" can be restrictive, so I am going to take it off and see how it goes. If it doesn't seem restricted then, I will get it re-tuned. I checked the Cat in the system, and it seemed ok.
  5. Hello fellow XR6T owners. Since 18/7/04 I have been a member of this forum. From this time, I have been continually reading and learning about the XR6T from your informative posts, for which I would like to thank you. Finally, I have bought one. It is Kev from PROCESS WEST's ex-development vehicle. I am extremely happy with the car, and it has rewarded me after my long wait to get into a XR6T. I had the car tuned at C & V perfrormance yesterday, and I am very happy with the result - 358.2 rwkws. The exhaust on the car is believed to be restricting it considerably, so I will endeavour to fix that problem as soon as I can, then get it re-tuned. I would like to thank Kev from PROCESS WEST for looking after me with the car, as well as C & V performance for tuning it.
