Hi guys, I was discussing fitting a Precision 6466 with my mechanic and he mentioned the 'new' GTW3884R. Apparently its the Garrett equivalent to the 6466 but a fair bit cheaper, my mechanic said he can get one for about $1500. Has anyone used this turbo or have any results on it? Andy

Here are dyno sheets and another photo of the car (I love the colour!). The before run (with the Intune tune) was 306rwkw at 23psi............ A mate of mine had his XR50T tuned that day aswell. Has cat, injectors, PWR cooler and piping. Made 290rwkw on 16psi.

Finally got the car sorted. Started to get valve float on dyno so I had some Atomic valve springs fitted and the tune was finally finished. made 363rwkw on 18psi. Very very happy with the car now I wouldnt mind fitting a Process West throttle body relocation kit eventually to tidy up the engine bay but that will probably be it mechanical/performance wise. Next I'd like to fit an Autometer boost gauge in the factory FPV gauge pod, get windows re-tinted because the rear window tint has bubbled and I plan on tidying up a few bits and pieces on the body.

I know! Craig who is the tuner from Revzone is good mates with my mechanic, so he will be tuning my car on my mechanics dyno. He's done a fair few Fords and other crazy turbo setups, and he had a fastest turbo Falcon a while back so he knows whats going on. I'm just hoping for a SAFE tune and some decent power.

Bit of an update....had the car run up on a dyno and I'm surprised I still have an engine. Boost levels were at 22-23psi!!! I have an aftermarket actuator and found out the flapper was still basically standard. My mechanic said it had be slightly opened up but only a tiny amount so it was overboosting. I called Intune requesting a copy of the dyno sheet showing PSI but the they didn't want to know about it and refused to supply a copy of the sheet. Ended up having turbo removed and my mechanic fitted a bigger flapper and CNC ported rear housing from Rotomaster, and at the same time I also had my PWR transmission cooler fitted. At this stage I plan to have the car retuned on the 16th May....hoping for around 330rwkw.

Thanks Stever. I saw that but my mechanic has already ordered mine and he got it for $700 delivered which I was happy with. I picked it up with 106000kms and it just ticked over 108000kms, but about 1000km was the drive back from nsw. I picked it up for $22k which I thought was a good considering he had $9700 in receipts from last April, and did rotors and pads all round 3 months ago. I recently fitted Nitto Invos all round too, and went a 255 tyre on the back. It hooks up alot better now.

Thanks mate. I didn't end up making it to Pitlane. I had something else come up, and getting down there is a hassle as I'm in Sunbury and need to juggle work and family at the same time. I'm looking at going to Dyno-Mite or Bluepower as both seem like reputable tuners. I sorted the Vic rego last week, had an Earls turbo hose fitted, and next week I'll be doing diff bushes and PWR heat exchanger. After that ill have the tune sussed out and get it detailed as it really needs one.

Hi guys, I recently changed sides and got into a BF II F6 Typhoon with the ZF 6 speed in deja vu. Over the past few years I've had every model Expensive Daewoo from VS to VE in a V8, and spent money on most of them. On the weekend I drove back F6 back from NSW to Melbourne and I love it. I cant believe the power first of all, but even the economy. I got over 730km to a tank! Intune Motorsport did the work on the car which includes Process West intercooler, piping and race airbox, full xforce exhaust, 60lb injectors, walbro fuel pump, battery relocation kit, intake crossover kit and a wastegate actuator mod (I think that's it). It was dyno tuned on 18psi and made 367rwkw. I've heard that Intune don't do the best tunes, so I've booked in at Pit Lane to get the tune checked out, with the possibilty of a retune next week. Overall though the car drives really well and I'm very happy I made the swap. I wish I did it sooner! Andy

very impressive times. from memory 13.36 is what the VY GTS 300kw ran down the quarter. finally ford has built something to compete.
