Hey guys I've had problems with t5 gearboxes they're too weak for the power I have in my car. I want to change it to a 6 speed but I've been told mixed stories. Some people say it can't be done and another said if I fit the tailshaft yoke (6speed) and the 6speed box I won't have to mess around with bellhousing and gear ratios?? Can anyone shed any light on this

I know what u mean about if it under 300 rkw mine is 320 at the moment with a water/air intercooled cobra turbo system I love the thing but I have just smashed my second gearbox in a year and I have no idea what im going to do I dont want to buy a new 5 speed if its just going to go again, has anyone had this problem I really need to find out why and how to solve it... maybe a 6 speed?? any help would be great cheers rhys

hey all I am so frustrated right now something has just snapped in my gearbox AGAIN I only just got a new box about 6 months ago havent been thrashing it either. just wondering what to do to put another sh*tty t5 and probably break it again or swap it for a six but would I have to change everything, bell housing,ratios etc. just so u know I have an upgraded cobra 250 turbo system put on with 320 kw at the wheels
