Hi All When reverting to a factory tune from the stock tune, with no other mods, does the factory tune stored in the flash tuner COMPLETELY revert back to the stock tune. By this I mean are all fuel, boost and timing maps overwritten completely with the factory tune stored when you first perform a flash tune. The reason I ask is I am getting some pinging at high RPM which I am investigating, but assumed it would be resolved by going back to the factory tune - thinking it was just too much boost/too hot/too much timing or something. I never had any pinging on the stock tune before flashing the car. However, it now pings even after reverting to the factory tune. I am not looking to diagnose the pinging (I have a different thread for that and am changing plugs, fuel filter this weekend to see if that helps). I am just wondering if flashing it back to stock does a complete job or whether it possibly leaves some of the data in there that was altered by the flash tune, which would explain why the car could possibly be pinging even after running the stock tune again. I am guessing this is probably not the case and I need to be looking at other things as I am (fuel filter, fuel pump, plugs, coil packs etc.) Car in question is a BF2 T Adam
