  1. the problem is, you went to mal woods. he is a useless *beep*. f*cked my car and my brothers car.
  2. Yes modded waste gate and upgraded actuator. The tune has never done it before. Normally it's fine on the 10 psi tune.
  3. Yes, she has atomic valve springs. Happened the 3 times I tried on the 10 PSI tune. Might have to swing into a tuner and ask what the go is. Was just hoping one of you guys knew what the problem was lol.
  4. Read that thread. Why would it drop all boost then act funny in 4th then just all of a sudden come good. Not problem in 1st 2nd or 4th with boost creeping over what it should. 12 psi tune is just fine in any gear. Apart from STILL not coming onto boost as hard as it normally did. I have problems spinning 1st and second in the wet.
  5. custom tune. Definatly not fuel surge. I know what that feels like. Forgot to add in any other gear on the 10 PSI tune that it boosts to 10 PSI.
  6. Alright, so I still haven't found where my 80HP has gone. But I put it onto the 10 PSI tune from my 12PSI tune and went for a drive, Whacking it in 3rd and planting it to feel the power differnce it got to about 5000RPM and all of a sudden just lost all its power then putting it into 4th it was like traction control was on making a funny 'brrrrr' noise. But putting my foot down in 4th it struggles then all of a sudden frees up and is fine. ( no dash lights or code come up on my scan gauge ) confused I did it again and sure enough same thing lost all power at 5000RPM and same thing in 4th. But this time I was looking at the boost gauge, and it was over boosting to 14PSI then at 5000 drops most of its boost down to 4PSI! So I'm a little confused on what this would be with no error codes and only doing it in 3rd. So I put it back onto the 12 PSI tune, and was only over boosting to 13PSI ( been doing it for a while. ) but no boost cut and no problem in 4th. So what can I replace to fix this ?

  8. I was on 313RWKW at 12 PSI, pretty similar mods. ( 42 pound injectors and walbro intank pump. )
  9. I personally DO NOT recommend Hi-Torque. While I was in there, there was a guy with a very nicely modded BF tunned to 16 PSI, he only managed 299.8 RWKW. As for me, My car is down on 80 RWHP, they passed it off as 'a worn engine' Even though timing, boost and everything else is perfect. They were cheap, and I reckon for that reason. They do a quick job. I'm meant to be making 420RWHP on 12 PSI. They hardly believed me, and told me to make that power I need to be running 16 - 18 PSI with my mods. Although was interesting to know I have some boost creep from 12PSI upto 13PSI lol. This is just me, I'm not happy for them not to tell me whats wrong with my car, and my first experience with them is no good.
  10. Actually, whats funny about this is, the noise is gone. Still have a loss of power though. But I'm starting to think its my TPS as the car does funny things on start up.
  11. wait, so I don't need a new cradle ? where would I look for a new backing plate ? I thought it meant a whole new cradle. Just call ford or something? It's my own fault really, was too hard on the gear changes.
  12. The main bolt that goes through the main bush. The thread on the back has completely broken off. Not on the bolt, but on the cradle.
  13. Will the FG 2 cradle fit the BA ? silly question... I just broke my cradle... the thread for the bolt, has snapped... completley off... so now the bolt doesn't tighten up.
  14. Think it might be easiest to remove the tappets.... Hard job to replace the conrods ? Been reading it's not that hard really.
  15. I'm not liking what you guys are telling me. How can I know for sure? should I just buy new rods and do an engine rebuild ?
  16. I can only hear it right at the top of the head, no noise in the block. Only a very light knock, like a noisy tappet. You really think that could be a bent rod? even though my limiter is 5500RPM, and I never even hit that ?
  17. Done that. The circle is where the tap is coming from. I removed it and heard it with a tube to my ear. I only have insulated drivers.
  18. So, I'm sure some of you have seen my other thread about the possible VCT problem. Well I can hear and feel a tap in the head around the green circle area. It's not the injector of coil, I've already listened to them. I can feel a tap in the head, like a nosiy tappit... Under the black plastic, can't feel on the side of the head though, only on the top where the noise is coming from. What can this be ? Can this be the possible problem to my lost power ? Thanks.
  19. there is a diagnostic dyno near my place. Costs about $400, but they test compression and a whole heap of other sh*t. Might check them out.
  20. wouldn't that cause a misfire in the higher revs though ? How do I check the fuel pressure ? It's a walbro in tank pump 225Lph or 250L one of the two.
  21. Cat was check 3 weeks ago by Hi-torque. It's fine. that's what they thought, but it wasn't that.
  22. Just bought genuine ones from mate from ford today. Yes I have a boost gauge. Gauge and dyno shows 13.5 PSI dropping off to 12.5 PSI in the higher revs. I'm not over boosting, I have no boost leaks.
  23. So after a nice day of running new coils. Nothing. Still the same. Still no power.
  24. Not sure what brand they were. Just bought them from supercheap. I'll take all 6 back, and go out and buy 6 genuine ones. I'll find the recipte and let you guys know what brand they are. I'm only running 12.5 PSI of boost.
  25. well I've just changed back to my older ones. But removed the ones that were visally f*cked. replaced with some otherones from my father-in-laws car. seems to make some chirping in second in the higher revs but the roads are slightly wet. So I think this may be the problem. Checked the gap on my old plugs and they were 0.9MM. I gapped the new ones to 0.7mm, will that contribute ?
