For maybe 4 weeks now I've noticed that the rear end shudders ( like axel tramp ) on normal take off only in first gear. It'll have it's little wobble/shudder if I idle in first and take off from 1000RPM. I know my shocks are worn and need replacing, but don't want to replace them to not fix the problem and have to pull the rear end apart again. Sitting on bump stops its that sagged. The Diff bush has been replaced 50,000KM with superpro comfort and that still looks fine. There is nothing obvious under the car bush wise that has failed. I'm thinking it's the suspension or maybe one the 2 outter diff bushes? The issues have been showing up since I shattered the main diff bush bolt on a hard change into second with hot tyres. A second opinion would be fantastic! Thanks forum!

The booster I ended up buying was off an xr8. I never used it, so It's for sale if anyone wants it. The issue (which I still have) is my front left caliper is sticky. I just pump the brake at lights and it unsticks. ( never sticks hard, just enough for me to notice something wasn't right. )

Yes yes. Rod was my concern. Not compression. I searched for half an hour to find my answer to no avail.

Yeah, seems I'm wrong. LPG are the same thickness as f6 but no floating gudgeon pins. They're pressed apparently. I always though BAmkii had LPG rods and f6 got thicker again.

As title says. My belief is BA xr6 turbo rods were sh*t BA MKii got the LPG rods BF >06/06 got the f6 rods. Someone is telling me that all xr6 <06/06 have the EXACT same rods including NA. LPG and >06/06 xr6 for the f6 rods Someone want to clear this up for me please If that's the case I can buy a LPG motor cheap, use the bottom end and have 400KW instead of limited to 300 on my MKii?

My tuner gave me a readout in KW and in HP, that's in QLD. What's the big deal having it in HP? Wish I could get 510HP on 14PSI... that's 108 more HP than I have, and I run 14PSI on mostly stock timing ( say's the tuner, though I don't know what stock timing runs at, timing peaks at 5 - 8 deg depending on heat )

I've had my car dosing for a good 80,000KM have not had an issue. What you're worried about it True compressor surge. ( dosing while under load and boost ) But having no load on the turbo while it does it causes mostly no issue. The worst it can do it slow the turbo a little more than a BOV would, so it takes a little longer to come back onto boost. Your turbo does not spin backwards. Just an update I guess. After randomly losing 80 - 100 RWHP for no apparent reason, had my tune updated to the Xcal 3 and flashed by Real dyno, to pull 402.3hp ( 300RWKW ) on 14 PSI. Only thing they could tell me as to why I lost so much power was there was a fault with my timing and there was non being put into the engine. They don't know why, and neither did Elite Automotive. So at least I still have most of my power back now. Really want 400RWKW, but can't on my BA motor.

I had the same problem dealt with it for 2 years. Replaced my TPS sensor with the BF ( rectangle NOT the triangle one ) as mine failed and put the car into limp mode a few times. It's been 100% fine after the replacement. No stalling, no low idle, throttle response was back. Was a very happy upgrade. Also cleaned the Throttle body with contact cleaner, and all plugs. So it was one or the other. Either way, it's fixed now.

Warning light doesn't come on at all. I think it's because I'm using a different oil than what I normally use ( trying HPR10 ) It's normal when it's cold and just come up to temp, but gets a bit lower than normal after some stop start and the oil heats up. If not, guess I'll start looking at the oil pump and some new gears.

So what could the issue be? Crappy autometer electric oil pressure gauge? go back to using 15w60 ?

Little bit worried as to why my oil pressure has dropped from 50psi while driving normal, down to 35PSI and from 20 PSI at idle down to 15 PSI. Goes to about 45 PSI about 3000RPM, But it's never been like that before. Suggestions? Clean the oil filter mesh thing ( someone point me to the right topic to see how it's done )? Oil is HPR10 10w50 about 4,000 KM old.

Exactly what part number do I need to matc? I've found a booster but the last few digits aren't the same My number is 3r232b 195bd and this other number is 3r232b 195bc ?

As title asks, is the booster and cyl the same on the xr6 turbos compared to the naturally aspirated? Whether that be the xr6 or just the ba/bf. My front brakes are sticking on and need to replace my booster and cylinder but it's almost impossible to find one second hand or new online for the turbo and fairly new ones or rebuilt ones on the na models are fairly cheap. Cheers.

I don't want to blow my mainly stock engine. The only thing done to it is valve springs. But I'd love a set of cams on it. Love the sound lol. But yeah, I mostly shift at 5 but go to 5.5 if I'm racing. Is that weird?

Yeah I'll see what I can do. I'm having problems finding a ball and spring type thing to stop the syphoning. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? I'll see if I can get a vid this arvo.

So does the 4 change the note at all? Or that only starts with the 4+ cause I'd love to make mine sound lumpy. What about the power band? will that make it higher in the RPM ? Not a big fan of even reving mine to 5500...

Funny.. I just put a sprayer in mine on Friday and was coming in to ask how to stop gravity leakage. I've got 2 nozzles above the tank and they're fine. But the other 2 I want to put in, it leaks. But if I can buy a ball and spring thing that will be great.. I used some misting nozzles from bunnings and the 2 up the top of the cooler work awesome at coating half the cooler.

But recently a mate of mine lost her baby at 19 weeks and 5 days, she had to go through labor and she got to hold her little baby. Under current law she could not register her baby as you can only register them at 20 weeks. She's made this petition to try and lower the weeks to 16 as that's when the are really a recognizable baby with fingers, toes and what not. So if you could just read the petition and leave your name, suburb and write 'I support this petition' that would be fantastic. I know a few of you have lost a baby before, and may of been through a similar thing. It's not much to ask and I thank you for taking the time to sign it. Yeah I just spoke to the tuner guy at Elite automotive he said that guy is full of sh*t, and he would think with my work, that I'd have at least 320KW, and that the car is set up for 400KW ( which I was really happy to hear! ) So this guy must just be a twat. I should take it there just to prove him wrong! However the tuner at Elite did say the injectors probably are a little small but they will get me to about 320 Max. Thanks for the reassurance guys! Really appreciate it!

I told him I got the dyno sheet to his reply of 'yeah they can make the dyno say what you want to hear so they get your money.' Then said 'bring it to my shop and I'll put it on my 'no bull sh*t' dyno and tell you what you're really running.' I told him only if it was free he called me a *beep* and said there was no way he's working for free. Glad to know I was right. Can believe he's got so many good reviews. I suppose he may of been jealous as he mainly only tunes subarus.

So just pick up a mates car from CNJ in underwood. I was asking some questions and told him about my xr6 turbo. I told him its got 400 hp at the wheels and he cuts me off and asks what turbo. Told him the stock 35/40 and he starts getting all huffy saying that real dyno is lying to me the 35/40 can make any where near that power. I tell him it's running 42 pound injectors and 3.1 process west intercooler with my exhaust. Cuts me off again saying the injectors won't run that much power. You need a minimum of 60pound. I told him I ran 12.6 down the quarter with the manual and he laughs at me saying its as fast as a stock subaru. Just had to rant and make sure that real dyno isn't lying to me and that this dude is a douch.

mine stalls a fair bit but idles fine most of the time. only has idle issue when its been raining. go figure. -
