Ok guys, I have some serious questions here about the V8 utes but please no "Holdens are sh*t posts" 1. The Expensive Daewoo equivalent of the XR8 is the SS right? Is the Pursuit the equivalent of the base Maloo or the R8? 2. What is the difference between the Maloo and the R8 exactly? Are they worth the extra? 3. Are there any articles on the net about the Pursuit Vs R8? 4. Is there a board out there like this one that is Expensive Daewoo based? I would like to read about the XR Vs Maloo from their side too. Thanks!

That is what I was thinking! I spoke to a sales guy about 3 months ago and he said they haven't done a ute yet. (I would rather pay some else to do it I think)

Here is the under bonnet look. I think it looks best with the bonnet down though.

I ablsoutely love it! This is the GT Ford should have made! It is instantly recognisable on the street as a GT and looks tough! It sets it off perfectly. At the moment, the GT looks to close to the XR8. It just doesn't look special enough. In the old day, the GT's (XW/XY) were the only ones to have scoops and they looked the business. Bring it back on the HO! If I could get a ute in red this is exactly what I would do to it which is a big call for me as I LOVE black cars. Red and Black just belong together on GT's.

What do you all think of the GT on the front cover of Performance Ford with the good old XY Shaker? I think it looks great! I thought of this before but I was worried it would look out of place being of a 30 year old car but it really looks good! Thumbs up for the guys for having the balls to cut a hole in GT!

Blown BA, I like your posts on here mate. You seem to to be like me and are more interested in the cars than the BS. Keep it up I don't want to buy the "real thing" because I am going to buy a ute. I only really meant what do you all think of stripes in general. I just said GT stripes so you know what I was talking about. I prefer the ones on the Red car too. Nice one. What do you think of the Cobra stipes done by Brad Garlidk Ford? Does anyone have one of their beasts?

I think to much emphasis is put on the performance of these cars when people are deciding which is the best. Let's face it, they are BOTH great cars. I know the T is supposed to be a bees dick quicker on the quarter and the 8 gets quicker and more powerful the more k's are on it but here is something to think about. I once read an article on guys who totally wreck their once great handling road car and make it great on the 1/4 but an absolute pig anywhere else. Why make it into that for the 2% of the time you will actually use it on the strip when the rest of the time you are on the road? I think you have to look at what you will mostly be doing in your car/ute to see which is the best. For me, I am going to choose the XR8 ute. I love the growl! I love the bonnet bulge! The low down GRUNT of an 8! These are all must haves for me. I do really like turbo's (I had a highly modified 200sx) though but for the time I would use that 0.3 or so on the 1/4 am I prepared to go without the note of the 8 or look out over that bonnet every time I drive it? No way! The turbo would be a lot of fun and has better tuning potential but I would always be a jealous of the big 8. These are all just my opinions guys! I'm sure some of you guys love the sleek lines of your T and the blow off valve just as much

Hi guys, Iam just wondering who out there likes the stripes on the new GT? I thought they were a bit ordinary compared to the XY look (which I think they are meant to be inspired by) with the stripes on the side and the blacked out bonnet. I thought the sill stripes looked like a bit of an after thought but I must admit I saw the ad on the M4 (Sydney) for the new GT and the XY on the "mother of performance cars" and the BA Blue GT with the light blue stripes on the sills looks quite good. I would probably get them myself if they look as good on the car as they do in that picture. I also don't like that "Splice Pine/Lime" colour (only my opinion guys) BUT there is a Ute in Auto Alley at the Expensive Daewoo Dealer that is that colour and it has the black stripe kit and I hate to say it but it looks really good! I think it balances it out a bit and looks pretty tough which I like. When I buy my XR8 ute, I want Black (are they going to continue with black?) or Phantom but do you think stripes on those colours would look sh*t? Black ute with Silver strips and Phantom with Orange? Does anyone have either of these? I saw some "Cobras" at Brad Garlick Ford that look awesome with the XC over the roof stripes and the modded bonnet but they are a bit pricey I think. Phew! Only about 10 questions in that lot!

Hi guys, the warranty on a Falcon is 3 years and a 100k right? If I by one second hand is that warranty transferable? How much cna be done to the T and the XR8 before they will void your warranty?

Hi Guys, I am looking to buy a XR6T Ute soon asnd I am wondering which transmission is better? I had a 200sx once in an auto and it seemed great when I bought it but it had no engine braking, so going downhill throught the twisties it was a real pain. It used to absolutely chew front pads too. I am thinking the sports shift might solve this prob as it should react to a down change quicker than my Nissan. Just how good is the Auto? Is it really a manualised auto or is a manual still the way to go? Does it matter which one you get if it is in an XR8? Thanks!
