Wow! Are you saying that essentioally all FPV and HSV Sunroofs are essentially aftermarket roofs anyway?

The Mazda MPS I am looking at has a Prestige Sunroof in it. Are they really that good and have they been around for a fair while? The Mazda has a brace in the roof that needs to be cut to install it. Would that wreck the car?

HI Everyone, does anyone know a lot about aftermarket sunroofs? I was thinking of putting one in a XR5 or a Mazda MPS. I know it is not a factory option but I saw one has been done on Carsales and it cost $2,500 and was done by Mazda. Would this wreck the car? What should I look out for? I think the Mazda has bars in the roof that need to be cut and that is why they aren't a factory option. Would that seriously affect the car? Any help would be great. Thanks!

How much is that unit? Do you think that stalk can be removed? I really hate it that much. It makes the whole car feel cheap and it is always right under your nose.

Nice headunit! What is it? That makes it look heaps better. You can still see the stalk but if you see it front on like you are in the drivers seat you will see what I mean.

Can that stalk be removed? Also can the Sony Headunit be taken out? If you can I think I would buy one. Anyone got a shot of that wheel with the stalk in all of it's glory? Has anyone changed the headunit?

Has anyone here got a close up pic of the steering wheel so you all can see that stalk for the audio controls? It really spoils the whole car.

I went to Titan Ford today and checked out the XR5 and took it for a drive. The car is a great looking thing from the outside (I took a black one) and the wheels look great. The engine sounds terrific and goes more than fast enough. All good BUT... What is with the sh*t DASH? The Sony stereo looks rediculous and looks like it is out of another car (UGLY) but the worst was the STUPID, BIG & VERY UGLY volume control stalk coming out from the wheel!!!!! I mean come on FORD it looks like a bloody big plastic ruler that you used in school sticking out of there. Why oh why couldn't the put the controls on the wheel like any other maker has figured out. It is the cheapest looking thing I have ever seen. It really spoilt the whole car for me. If I had one I would get it taken off and throw it in the bin. Other than that I loved it. Shame because I wanted one from driving it. Does any one here agree?

Does getting the ECU retuned (I think you call it getting it flashed) increase power and improve economy too? I expect them to drink a bit and I have had other V8's before. I just don't want to get one and think OMG what have I done! The utes are an awesome car but I don't want to go broke just to drive one. I do 20k's each way from Balmain to Brookvale every day.

I am thinking about buying a BF XR8 Ute (maybe a F6) but am a bit concerned about feul costs. All the magazines say they are extremely thirsty and some say up to 23l/100 is not uncommon in the Pursuit. Can that be right? I am driving 40k's per day in the traffic. Mostly stop start and cruising (speed limit) and the odd squirt I loves the looks but I don't want to spend what the car is worth in 2 years on fuel. I know it is a performance car and all of that but it still needs to be reasonable. Thanks.

I don't think Expensive Daewoo Commodores ever had Paddles. Anyway if they did have paddles they would be rubbish mated to that gearbox.

Hi everyone. I have a important question for you all. My sister is very sick and has been that way on and off for two years. She suffers from severe migraines, vomiting, shakes, nausea and a long list of other things. This has been effecting her life in a major way and she has been to many doctors but they just don't have a clue what is wrong with her. She has spent a lot of money on medications and getting passed from GP to GP. I know she needs a specialist but you can't get to one unless you are referred to one by a GP. That is impossible to do if they don't know what is wrong in the first place. At the moment she is violently ill for the last 5 days with like mornig sickness and the shakes. The doctor thought she was pregnant but a blood test said she wasn't so they said it must just be a "virus" (GP talk for I don't know) but it isn't. She has been sick for too long. Doctors have also said they think she is suffering from depression and anxiety and just want to put her on anti depressants all the time. All these do is make her sick. She is really losing hope in finding a doctor to help as this is wrecking her life. She can't hold a job and her relationships are suffering and I am worried that if something like this goes untreated for long enough she may even die. Yes, that is how sick she gets.
