  1. Thanks for that. Just looked up the price. would be nice sadly outside the budget
  2. Only 465rwkw at this stage. I had converted it to manual because I melted 3 auto's but the power delivery is much better with auto than manual. Need something that will handle more horsepower and not overheat
  3. Hi guys. It's been a while. I am looking to install a new auto into my GTP that will comfortably handle the power and not melt. Can anybody suggest somebody that knows what they are doing and what transmission they would recommend?
  4. *********************************UPDATE***************************************** Hi guys, Took TTBOSS to heathcote again with Craig, managed a 10.90 at 132.6mph, so mph was down a little bit, but I suppose for its 2nd time at the strip isnt too bad.... theres still a hell of alot left in it, I just have to find the time to take it to the strip
  5. You are right. As soon as the revs got to around 3800 the engine went straight to the limiter in 1st and 2nd.
  6. Hi guys, the 60' time was 1.81 which can do with a lot of improvement once we get the gearbox/traction sorted. Then we should have some rwal fun! As for the technical data I hope to fill you in once I get the finer datail sorted which shouldn't be too long now. Hope to be back on the track in the next few weeks and then another update! Must admit I am pretty pleased at the fact I got 2nd place at Summernats with no preparation and only lost by less than 2HP. Hope this inspires some other Ford V8 owners to stand up and be counted! Thanks guys
  7. Heres another one, there was major traction problems for 1st & 2nd. We were changing at 3200 - 3600rpm just to try and control it, but then ran into a few little gear box bugs
  8. I agree, Mal, Ben and the boys are about the best I have ever dealt with. They are well priced and will always go out of their way to help. I am running their Tremec 6-speed in my AUII and it's still the best.
  9. Hey Craig. Thanks for that. Hope the old man's car is always in front, but with jnr you just never know! I think it's a great idea. TTBOSS should be ready to roll next week as they are just doing some final tweaking to the auto (taxi box). The stall converter has made a huge difference and it will be time to do some serious playing when it comes back. Sadly I am hating the thought of selling the AUII. Beginning to think of going the next step instead of selling. By the way, the rims look better on TTBOSS and set if off quite nicely. That will be the final step. Be in touch.
  10. Sorry for the late reply, the wheels are gmax m162 in 20's. the only problem with these wheels is that they are the wrong off set for the xr's so they rub the gaurds more then they should. but none the less they look good! haha His car has the injectors, v-springs, cai, fuel pump, intercooler & edit an is making 301rwkw's but his auto seems like its a 2speed box its slipping that bad..... so he's trying to baby it until he gets enough $ to either rebuild it, put the c9 in it or do a 6 speed manual conversion.
  11. He originally had King SL on the front n SSL on rear, but he now has k-mac springs in it, but they have been re-compressed to the height he wanted...... the car is too low if you ask me..... but each to their own, I supose if you can deal with taking 2 min to get over a speed hump or up a decent driveway the height wont bother ya! haha
