  1. Massive difference. Replacing the muffler keeps the air box so it's still fairly quiet but doing a 4" turbo side intake will give you just about the loudest intake noise possible.
  2. yep and yep. Well it wasn't raining when he drove it but the roads were wet. I doubt he'll look after it as he farks all his other cars.
  3. I'm pretty sure we passed you
  4. Haha pretty much. Kind of like a lot of exotic owners.
  5. Cos he knows nothing about the cars. He spent countless dollars on parts and stuff that will never be used to its potential and he did it all for wank factor. He says that atm the company doesn't have much money or work so I have no overtime till further notice. Then he goes and builds this cos he got interested in my dads.
  6. Looks like a random google images result lol
  7. He rocked at work and said he was shaking cos he'd never driven anything with power lol. He said he struggled to keep it in a straight line. The bonnet struggles to stay up as bulge on it weighs it down and the springs aren't strong enough so he's going to get one of those bonnet sticks fitted. They also told him that if he fitted stronger springs it would most likely warp the bonnet.
  8. That's the one.
  9. In the head? Yes...
  10. Boss just turned up at work. Also just bought a cage for the GTR happy days.
  11. You're correct on the whole Invo thing Bellato but they are a lot more expensive. Also, the Achilles are a lot cheaper on ebay.
  12. Thought so, I was in a 100 series with a tinny on the back. Great choice with the 4 link mate. My old mans got the same one in the back of his Mustang project. Can't wait to see what they're like on the street.
  13. Nah I did it myself.
  14. I've got the sssl/ssl combo and it's fine. If you like your car to handle even remotely half decent then I suggest you change the shocks too. I just put Monroe gas in mine. Was about $700 for springs and shocks
  15. If a 244 fits on my standard 17's with no issues then I'm guessing a 265 would be fine on an 8.5" rim but it might be a different story if the car is slammed.
  16. That's one massive exhaust housing. Your car wasn't on the back of a trailer travelling up the Hume Friday night by any chance was it?
  17. No guard rolling needed but there's your answer for the width. Looks like a 255-265 max for the rear. Or just fit 245's all round and deal with the loss of traction haha. If you ease into it it won't try and light the tyres up as easy.
  18. If they're 8.5" you should be able to run a 265 rear. Dunno how a 275 would sit though.
  19. Yeah I guess so. I find I still spend a lot of time on here reading even though I don't do anything to my car anymore. Spend a heap more time on SAU now as I'm always looking for parts. I thought I might as well come along and meet the people I've been talking to for the last year haha.
  20. Well in the case of a falcon the front tyre size doesn't matter so much as you won't really be doing track work so a 245 should do the trick. Plus you can't really fit much wider on there. As for the rear, the wider the better as the more power you make the more traction becomes an issue. Especially if boost is tuned to come on hard. You can't just go and put a 300 wide tyre on an 8" rim so there are limits. Generally 255 wide is about the max for an 8" rim. What size are the rims you have?
  21. If your considering upgrading the turbo then the 4" intake is most definitely the way to go for all the reasons you mentioned.
  22. Yep, those for the front and these for the rear: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-X-275-30-19-ACHILLES-ATR-SPORT-TYRES-BRAND-NEW-FORD-SKYLINE-SUPRA-/280911372201?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item41679f5fa9#ht_3678wt_1110
  23. Try ebay achillies I've never used them but I've heard they're good for the money. I'll most likely try them as my next tyre. Just get the widest tyre you can fit on the rim. I noticed a pretty big difference going from a 255 to a 235 on my 17s.
  24. I have'nt met anyone off here yet but I'll most likely just come down and say hi. Will most likely be my only meet though as the car is up for sale now.
