  1. The only reason I went with monroe's is because my standard shocks were rooted and I can get them cheap through work. They are a fair bit better than what was in there and are fine for a daily. The only reason I would go with better stuff is if you had the cash, you really like going through the twisties or you plan on keeping the car for a long time. The falcon is still a boat regardless of what you put in it, hence my decision to change to something a little more nimble and fun to drive. I'm with slash in saying that it is generally worth getting the better stuff but when you can't afford it you can't afford it. I know I can't.
  2. You won't need an aftermarket boost controller so you can save yourself a couple of bucks there and put it towards other mods.
  3. Yeah up to 8 reps. I generally go up to about 200kg but I'm too nervous my knees will give way if I go anymore.
  4. Couldn't find the Koni's in Aus but I should be able to get them through work. And the ground control kit is about $300 delivered from the States. Sorry to hijack ya thread Henz. I'll keep my fingers off the keyboard now.
  5. Just a waste gate is fine for 300kw. I made that with 12psi.
  6. Plenty out there. Plazmaman,Process West, Rapid, Nizpro. All of them are good. Not too sure how the factory boost gauge reads. Could be up to 1bar (14.7psi)?
  7. Lets say bulking
  8. 300C Wagon FTW
  9. I hear ya! So what would you recommend around the $1000 mark. I'm not to fussed on comfort, I just want it stiff and on it's nuts.
  10. That's pretty much what I wanted to hear. I like the look of the EG over the EK so that's the only reason I'm going that way. Hoping to find an injected one around $3000. I'm still young so I don't mind coilovers in my dailys I just want a car that's better on juice and with better handling than the falcon as it's a bit of a boat.
  11. Your bro read my mind Henz. But I wont go as far as the vinyl wrap. Just a hectic front lip and duck bill spoiler lol.
  12. You need 4 channels to power all your speakers if you want to go down that path and you need another separate channel to power the sub.
  13. High pass filter. The front speakers are splits that run a little crossover. Similar to aftermarket component speakers.
  14. A 5 channel will be fine if you plan on ripping out the factory amp for the sub. I posted a link earlier in this thread to the jaycar sub which is a direct replacement. JB HI FI did mine.
  15. Hey Pat, I saw you were on the civic forum and sell coilovers and stuff for them. I'm looking at an EG for a daily. Got any comments on it?
  16. I've got a 200rms jaycar sub in my car which makes more than enough bass for me. Here's another option too which comes with a built in amp like mine. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=CS2269&CATID=88&form=CAT2&SUBCATID=1027#4
  17. I didn't bother doing it my self as $200 included the fascia for it to fit in also. Might have been $220 all up but no more than $250. None of the icc audio functions are used anymore so that is just your heating and cooling. There are plenty of brands webby. If you're not going all out on a sound quality based system them most of them will do but just pass on the cheap no name brands. You don't have to have a 5 channel but for ease of install and less crap in your boot they're a good idea. Give a jaycar a go too as most of there stuff is really good and at a great price too.
  18. Yeah it was only installed last week but it was second hand and had been sitting at dynomite for a bit I think. When it was sitting there it seemed all good but with a bit of use its been weeping from the passenger side seal.
  19. Well that explains it all. What power and boost are you aiming for with E85 if your already running 20psi?
  20. Just put an aftermarket head unit in. $200 fitted for a basic sony unit with mp3/usb/aux. Then you'll have better sound than the premo Ford unit. Chuck a sub and amp in there for another couple of hundred if you want.
  21. Well that's fair enough. Isn't two BOV's overkill though? Wouldn't 1 suffice? Same with the rail. What's the reason for going duel feed instead of just banging some big injectors in.
  22. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=CW2196&form=CAT2&SUBCATID=1008#4 That's the one I used. It seems to handle a lot more power than the factory item but would also sound better with a bit more power behind it. It's not a free air sub, just an 8" driver but for $40 it does the job. It fits in the factory position but from what I can remember you might have to drill some now holes to get it to fit up properly.
  23. What are you planning with the dual BOV setup? What's the need for the dual feed rail too?
  24. Hey Pazz, how much would you generally push on a leg press?
  25. $1104 seems ok I guess. $400 labour is a bit more that what I'd pay but they have to make money somehow. Do the shocks now or you'll want to do them within a couple of weeks. I know cos that's what I did...
