  1. Great number for such little mods. Must be fun to drive!! What boost, injectors and cat are you running? Stock exhaust?
  2. What bolt patten are you asking for from the U.S to fit the FG?
  3. Hi all, Bit of genuine advice needed. I have a F6 FG. Car has a 4" dump, hi flow cat, and tune.(stock exhaust from cat back) Running just over 300rwkw's. Question is what's the best bang for buck ie: maxium kw's for limited spend. Not chasing big numbers & not being cheap. Car is used for work & I'm going to turn it over in 3 years so don't want to blow big $ but do want a little more KW's. What option produces bigger kw's for a FG F6? (I will go with only 1 of the 3 options) 1. PW stage 2 intercooler and retune. (expected gain?) 2. 3.5" exhaust, injectors & retune. (expected gain?) 3. CAI, 3.5" exhaust, retune. (expected gain?) Any assistance would be appreciated.
  4. How is a cat back exhaust, regardless of configeration, 3.5 single or 2.5 twin etc etc, going to add 40kw? I thought that other peformance add ons like intercooler, dump pipe, cat, tune and turbo psi that make the most gains kw wise. Of course everyhing works together. There are cars on here runing relatively high rwkw's with standard cat back exhausts. I thought I could do the same and that an exhaust, kw wise, would add modest gains to the existing rwkw. Anyone know what kw gains a cat back exhaust on it's own will actually add? Thoughts? Oops, the $895 quotes for injectors actually was for purchase and fitting only. Tune was extra.
  5. I've got a fg f6 currently with a 4" dump, outlaw high flow cat, standard exhaust from cat back and VCM HP tune running 11 psi. It's running around 300 - 310rwkw at the moment. After much research on this site and asking lots of questions it's going in for a process west stage 2 intercooler & retune shortly, as that's probably the best bang for the buck. I'm not chasing big numbers, probably around 330 - 340rwkw. My questions: 1. With the above parts, is there a real/genuine need to put a cat back system on the car & what kw gain will that actually have verses leaving the exhaust standard from cat back? (will it make adiffernce at all) 2. If I go for a cat back exhaust I thought a mild steel twin 2.5 as don't want any drone or noise or perhaps a 3.5 single. Thoughts? (mild steel because I'm turning the car over in 3 years) Out of interest, this is what's been quoted: : $2200.00 fitted for the stage 2 PW IC. $600.00 for the retunetune (vcm hp) Varying numbers on exhaust: 1. $2100 for 3.5 single custom SS cat back exhaust, 2. $795 for mild steel twin, 3. $900 for mild steel twin, 4. $1200 for 3.5 single Xforce - which to go for if I go that way? injectors (If there's a need) - buy from ebay & local mechanic will fit for $100.00. Tuners quoted $800.00 for this - go figure? Any comments thoughts on my questions would be appreciated.
  6. I have a FG F6. Is $500.00 any good for a PWR non stepped intercooler? Its the model that was just recently discontinued and PWR went to the stepped design. Any comments would be good.
  7. Hi all, Can anyone tell me: Why is it that the Australian Dollar is currently 1.05 verses the U.S dollar and we in Australia are paying $750.00 for a SCT handset on it's own whilst in the U.S they can be bought for $350. - 370. Are we getting ripped off? Is this a ploy by distributors to "control" the market and maintain a high price? Is there way to "convert" them to work in Australia, has anyone tried? There are some very smart electronic wizards out there, Im sure. The answer can't be that "it simply doesn't work because there not made for Australian cars." Perfomance or turbo cars accross the globe operate on the same principles - ecu's, tunes, etc etc. Any ideas or thoughts?
  8. The car runs around 305rwkw at present with VCM HP tune, 4" dunp & high flow cat. (11 pounds of boost) Nippy but not earth shattering.. Glad to hear I can put the 3.5 exhaust on without changing injectors! Hard to get clear consesus from tuners. Not looking to spend big $ or have 400rwkw, just a little more. I'll check out the ces exhaust..
  9. That $1200 is for cat back. Dam, must be paying a premium!!! $759 for twin 2.5 sounds even better.
  10. Looking at an x force ss single system 3.5" - $1200.00 cat back from an exhaust shop in Bris. I'd heard that the f6 injectors were 44lb and were ok up to around 320ish rwkw.
  11. Hi all, I've been told that if I put a cat back single 3.5 exhaust on my f6 I'll need to upgrade the injectors. Is this right? The car currently has a 4" dump, high flow cat and tune. Any help would be great.
  12. Hi all, Thanks for the feedback. I'll go ahead and do the intercooler, injectors and a retune. If anyone knows someone selling and intercooler let me know. I was confused/disspointed becasue most of the "experts" in brissy wanted me to spend & spend and I only wanted slight gains in power not a full box & dice. They seemed more concerned with their bootom line/how much I spent rather than what I wanted...go figure! All of the advice that's been received, makes sense. Ta
  13. Thanks for the feedback. And yes, with what's been done so far the rwkw's do seem a little ordinary. Think I should be getting a little more rwkw with the current stage?
  14. Hi all, I have a FG F6 with a custom tune, 4' dump, high flow cat & standard cat back exhaust. It's making 302rwkw on 11 psi. I want to get a little more but don't want to sell the farm. The tuners in Brissy say that I need to spend 5k on: full cat back new exhaust, upgrade injectors, upgrade fuel pump, upgrade intercooler etc...It's all very confusing - is there a better value for money way for more gain without the pain? I was thinking a new cat back exhaust only but am open to sugestions. Questions: 1. Do I need to change injectors & fuel pump if I go for a 3.5" single cat back system? (been told I do) 2. What gives me a little more bang for my buck - say 330 - 350rwkw? 3. Is a intercooler really necessary for 330 - 350rwkw? Any value for money ideas would be appreciated. Cheers
