I have been looking at going from a G6E Turbo to a RWD Territory Titanium SZ MK2. Obviously I was looking at purchasing a non turbo 4L and possibly doing a conversion to it. I am guessing the ZF in the Territory isn't as strong as a ZF from an XR6 or G6E? Would there be anything like loom swaps or different mounts required? Has anyone thought/tried/done a 335 5.0L conversion into a Territory?? Any comments appreciated! CLuTZ

Drove past this thing today on Pascoe Vale Road, Oak Park and did a U-turn! Brembos are a lovely gold colour. I much prefer those FPV rims in silver though. Let me know what you think!

It's a G6E Turbo MK2. I dropped it off at Fraud this morning for it's final warranty stuff and they said $1142 just for the leather skin of a seat base! I lol'd! Does anyone know who manufactures the seats for Ford? Ideally I'd love a low km drivers seat with deployed airbag to pop up. Would certainly work out to be the best option. Failing that, I might attempt this fix. I will make sure I post the results and some before and after pics for you guys.

95% of the time my car is running, there's only me in it. What I am after is just a replacement skin for the lower half of the seat, that makes it look 100% factory looking and matches the passenger seat. Maybe I will call Fraud and see what they can offer

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has ever sourced genuine leather seat covers from Ford? If so, how much? Were they hard to fit? My driver's seat base is looking pretty sad- I'm a fairly big guy (110kg) and get in and out of my car 20-50 times a day. The bolster is also really average quality!

Getting anything out of them is like blood out of a stone. Even a call back these days is too much to ask. Surely $160 for an XR8 bonnet would be aftermarket item. Even the genuine under bonnet protection goes for more than $160

Shamlessly bumping this thread up~> I am doing Easter in Tassie this year- taking the boat over then renting a 'full sized sedan'. Will be driving from Launceston to Hobart (one way only) Which way would be the best to go? Launceston through the Central Highlands/Great Lake or the East Coast way instead? I heard it's a lot like New Zealand and if that is even the slightest bit true then no doubt it will be amazing! Really looking forward to the Museum of Old and New Art too.

Thanks buddy- as above have you got some more pics?

I'm still yet to hear of a single person who has ever been fined $10,000 for not running a cat. Sounds like an urban legend if you ask me

A little off topic, but ratter- can the ZF be tuned to that it's only harsher/quicker shifts in 'Performance' mode and factory/driving miss daisy shifts while in 'D'??

I see that the SCT XCAL 4 is now on the market.... I emailed two popular Ford tuning shops in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne about sourcing one of these without a reply which I thought was a little strange. Does anyone know who the distributor are of these for Australia? Is it Herrod?? I will just go to them direct.

I'm not 100% sure but I'm guessing no. You will have to check that it's compatible with the Ford's firmware?

Hey there, I had the satnav with remote in my old 50th Anniversary. I remember the pre-delivery guy installing it when I went to go and pick the car up. It came with a "Whereis" (Sensis) map memory card in dvd style case. The memory card was inserted into a slot in near the tunnel on the passenger side footwell. You can buy updated maps, but in all honesty at $199 they are a rip off. You are better off getting an aftermarket GPS (Not Garmin though- they are sh!t!!) that comes with lifetime maps. https://www.ford.whereis.com.au/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=50&cat=FG+Falcon

You don't work over in W.A with Shane by any chance?

I don't use the factory GPS either. The dash spears being brushed silver look instead of Piano Black, perforated leather bolsters on the seats, grey highlights on wheels and toned down front grilles are what did it for me. That's what I miss in my MKII. Damn yours too! Nooo!
