    also just checked mine (fg ute 2010), perfect, not the slightest sign of rust. bonus is I found $18 in gold coins under my drivers and passangers seats! so either there was a quality control issue with the seat rails or I would say these cars have seen floods or have some sort of cabin leak

    how would a rusty seat rail affect roadworthy? I would be trying this as a warranty item.

    I wonder if any of these are the same rattle that I have in my ute? tmy rattle sounds like its outside the cab, in the middle maybe on chassis rail or somewhere around there. what does the vent noise sound like tab?

    I dont know who christian is, but if he was to get a glide then that car is then a 1/4 mile car and not a daily. so I see the point possum is making. either way, do what you want to your car to suit your needs. if a cvt trans is what puts a smile on your dial then who is to say you shouldnt do it? same goes for c4 vs t400 vs zf vs anything else anyone can think of
