  1. I really like the style of the xr50 wheels but they are such a crap offset. The only reason I changed them is because they dont fit any decent brakes.
  2. Sounds like my rattle and I cant find it either so im not much help. It sounds like its between the cab and tray. Have had it up on a hoist and still cant find it. Keen for a solution if anyone has an idea as its driving me nuts.
  3. yeah but no box = no need for wheels. I tell you what, ill trade you a working box for your wheels. http://youtu.be/bPwwM9hZOPI
  4. better send me your wheels then. you know seeing as they are no good to you any more
  5. yeah ok that's great that you did all that, but you didnt iron the quilt cover!
  6. nice bike as a starter. dont be too concerned about getting a flashy bike when your first starting out. maybe consider something that has cosmetic damage but is mechanicly sound. having said that my first road bike was a brand new vtr250. sounds like you understand that decent gear costs a few $. surprised how many guys I see rocking aldi gear! are you intending on riding all year round or is it just a summer/fun/weekend thrasher? considering your location a good summer jacket would be at the top of the gear list along with a helmet with good ventilation.
  7. best advice I can give, spend as much as you can on quality gear. not only does it last longer but its more comfortable and protects better. whats your budget for gear and bike and what sort of bike are you after? ms is selling an 1198 soon
  8. SDP, that's all great advice. she has done weddings/funerals/birthdays and anything else you can think of for friends and family and friends of friends before. she works for one of the biggest florists in sydney. has managed a shop in the past. I used to work as a courier in the shop she managed. so am a little bit familiar with the day to day operations. I know in my previous post it kinda came across as 'cant be that hard' she has very good knowledge of the industry and good contacts. her problem is fear of not being able to make it work. its only money to me, can always earn more.
  9. question for the vinyl master. is it best to apply to a perfect surface or stone chips and the like are ok? tempted to give the mrs A1 a wrap in matte black also how did you find the vinyl holding up to scratches and the like?
  10. crap pics because im not a photographer and its taken on my mp3 player that also makes calls but you get the idea. this is just after the teins where installed. I like the height that it sits at, looks great, not stupid low, but still bad enough to catch me out in a few carparks. today fitted, the 20's hopefully be another update shortly with the new wheels.
  11. well this escalated rather quickly! must be all the E85 in this thread http://youtu.be/k3Nqguav6nE
  12. I dont really care but that sure looks like advertising to me best of luck with the business! wish my mrs would hurry up and decide she is finally ready to start working for herself. always complaing about her boss and co-workers yet wont do anyhting about it. I try to help in what little way I can, but I dont know a great deal about starting up a florist shop lol
  13. we have one of those machines now. had a much flashier one but I found I was just way too lazy to use it often enough. sure the coffee doesnt taste as good but it is close. mrs works in bondi junction, there is a store there, so capsules are easy to obtain. win win really!
  14. not sure if serious? vs styling wise not even worth comparing, and im guessing the vrod is much more capable on the road as well. at least it has 1/2 a chance of getting around a corner at a decent pace.
  15. I watched all 15min of that and no boom? very dissapoint! anyone else catch right at the end, some bird said that there is a 9kg gas bottle in the back of the ute? many lols
  16. both very nice bikes but for very different reasons. im not old enough or mature enough to buy a cruiser so I would say keep the 1198. but that's just my hooligan opinion. if your looking for something a bit easier on the old arse and back maybe try a naked such as the speed triple or fz1? I havent paid much attention to current new bikes but didnt ducati bring out some sort of cruiser type thing?
  17. that is strange, I would have thought that would be a pretty flush fitment. im fitting my wheels up tomorrow, ill post pics of how mine sit.
  18. if your option is one of those two I would go with henz's ute. you listed why you like it, they are big +'s only negative is you would need to fly down and drive it back but what better way to get to know your new car!
