No, should I? I had a fark off magnet stuck to the filter too, though removed the magnet and emptied the contents of the filter back in the pan. Didn't think to cut it open. I've got a big pipe cutter somewhere to open'er up if this is the norm. I think it's all fine tbh. Motor seems happy, only it's a bit tractor on cold start up but I guess that's to be expected with forgies. I read somewhere that JE pistons don't offset there gudgeon pin too which would help. Maybe when I change over to the fully synthetic it'll sound different when cold.
