  1. How much boost is it running?
  2. I just went to my mates scrap yard when I fitted my old monza and used aluminium strips so they could bend into shapeand drilled in new bolt holes..lol just if you do drill holes file then out and use touch up paint so theres no bare metal

  4. Thanks for the pic bud she looks horn Just out of curiousity what is the dimensions of the core on the 1800hp cooler. I tried to look it up on the plaz site but it only sez its 100mm thick.
  5. dont forget the oil pump housing when you get the gears. Something about the oil pressure gettting too high due to the relief not being big enough or something so they rupture the housing when your up it for the rent.
  6. imo go the plaza they arent overpriced, have a gr8 product and they will wont stuff you around.
  7. Yeah bud raw finish. I was going to get the black powder coated one but my cousin at http://www.jnjperformance.com.au/ are going to anodise it black (think that's how u spell it) later on plan on ceramic coating the turbo housing and zorst manifold too. Hey while im on the subject would ceramic coating the zorst and turbs effect the afr's or anything?
  8. Thanks Steve I took the under tray off the bumper today and I can see what you mean. I might have to make up some sort of splash guard on the inner side somehow to try and minimise the issue. BLKPHN have ya got any pics of it fitted up? that's sux about all the cutting dude but I know what its like once ya start ya just wanna get it done pretty much to the point of whateva it takes.lol How come you went the 1800hp cooler, what power are ya aiming for?
  9. Yeah just under a 1/4 the fans are dialled in for a 72degree stat though. When giving it a hard time for abit the temp will go just under half way. Ill speak to bta about on wednesday another tuner recommended the 72stat the last time it was tuned. On a reallycold morning itll sit like around 3/4 of the way to the 1/4 mark when cruising at a consistent speed
  10. Not sure mate..but the easiest way to find out would be to call ford tomorrow and get a hold of parts and ask them. I usually speak to power ford at castle hill for anything like that and they have always been more than happy to share even if I do buy it from someone else
  11. I might go with the 0-40W aswell. The temp needle usually sits just under the 1/4 mark when cruising around which is what I do most of the time..I'd be lucky to give it a stab in say 2 gear changes once every blue moon. Thanks for that
  12. I got the t/b relocation thru orangeute338 the whole cold side piping was like 250 plus postage..nice piece of kit too except the part that is hard up against the passenger fog light an I had too modify the parker plug. I have the rapid hot side too so its abit of a bitsa but that shouldnt matter too much.
  13. I was very lucky with them. Rang them earlyish friday morning and picked it up later that night. It just about has everything now for the time being full exhaust, injectors, flapper mod and actuator, fuel pump just have to wait till wednesday for the valve springs and tune at BTA. With abit of luck it'll end up in the mid 300's then ill be off to the strip to see how it all goes together..cant wait. It had been tuned before at intune motorsport and made 320rwkw with a 5" cat, monza and injectors he told me it was a 16psi tune..later I bought a boost gauge and it was reading more like 18psi and around 19-20 on a cold night. That sort of boost level is abit high for a bf mk1 so that's how I ended up here.
  14. + some other pics thanks guys
  15. All fitted. I fitted the top 2 brackets being careful to centre the cooler the best I could then drilled and bolted. Surely enough I get under the car and the brackets that are welded onto the cooler lined perfectly up with the 2 factory holes in the radiator support all I had to do was tap the existing holes use the bolts that are supplied. I wish everything else was that easy.
  16. After my 1st post I soon realised I could do that...DOH! Anyways after hard wiiring it the fans both work so all is good. Now I just gotta find something to pull out those pesky 40A fuses to check'm Thanks JC807
  17. Part # AGSP22Z11
  18. Hey fellas, I had my t/stat changed to a 72degree t/stat about a yr ago and the cut in for the fans was changed aswell.. The pita thing is even on a cold morning/night the fans will cut in if I sit at a set of lights for a couple of mins..well alot more often than they did before anyway which I guess would b expected. I noticed the fan stopped kicking in last night when I was sitting there idling for about 3-5min waiting at the lights. Is there any way I can manually make the fan kick in to prove it is ok? I have seen someone before bridge out something in the relay box to make the fuel pump run is it possible to do the same with the fan somehow? Its a bf xr6t Its going in for a tune on wednesday so I dont want any underlying issues that I would have to pay someone else to fix. Thanks guys!
  19. that's some good info there aiboart.. Ive had a few tuners tell me that Castrol edge 10-60W is the what they recommend. Any thoughts on this oil? I have been using the Nulon 10-40W for roughly 3yrs would it be worth while changing?
  20. Bought the 1000hp cooler I get a stiffy everytime I look at the thing! Its suprising how light it is considering how much there is. Just looking inside the tubes and its pretty easy to see this things going to work awesome. The guys at Plazmaman are awesome huge thanx to P.J to making it happen so quikly very happy with the finished product now I just need to fit it up tongiht. Thanks for your input guys
  21. Hey fellas, Im looking at getting this https://www.plazmaman.com/shop/index.php?action=item&itemId=175 Looking at roughly 350rwkw range as my car is a BF MK1. Is this way overkill?? Id just like to keep the inlet temps down but still have a relatively good throttle response. At a later stage I will be doing the bottom end and up it to 400rwkw+ but it will be a daily driver so I doubt I would push it any further. Thanks for your input guys
  22. Yeah bud I did it all in 3 inch but I had to holesaw a 90mm hole just in front of the battery for the elbow to a pod coz the 3 inch won't get under the headlight good. Had to cut the back of the battery tray out too. I needed 2 45's and a 90

thanks for getting back so quick. I found Its not easy to centre these coolers. I have changed all the intake and got the same cooler as urs makes me wonder if its worth u upgrading to the rapid as I've been putting around waiting to get the springs and a tune at the same time next month hoping to get the same power as yours. How does it feel on the rd?
