  1. bit of an update. Got the bugs sorted out the other day. Left the car with the shop for a couple of days while I drove around in there courtesy car lol. Got the car back and its running perfect now. Im getting an extra 60kms per tank (420km @ 55L) with the spirited driving here and there. No hesitation whats so ever now and in 2nd gear at just about any point in the rev range if I nail it just under a second later in most instances and its baggin the tyres. Havent had 1 bit of axle tramp at all just a nice smooth wheelspin keeping an eye on the revs so I dont hit the limiter and f**k the factory oil pump. The new read out was 353.8kw on a steady 17psi..the car feels awesome now its all done. The 320kw tune I had from pingtune felt like it went abit doughy after a few days so I'd have to reflash it. This tune feels just as ballsy since I left there over a week ago very happy with it. Huge thanx to BTA for taking the time to get it all right. Definately be back with a built bottom end and a plenum some time next year I think if I had the cash I'd be like some of the other fellas on here pushing these things over the 1000hp mark its so bloody addictive. Cant believe I almost bought a SS crewman instead of the T.. jeezuz

Well done with the tune. What boost are you running?
  4. I get what you mean in your last post but it really is important that you do save up and its a hell of alot cheaper to do it all at once too if you can be patient enough. Its funny Ive been thru 3 intercoolers, 2 different kinds of injectors, 2 different exhaust styles blah blah as you can see there is a trail of wasted money and tunes just from being impatient. The extra coin I spent on getting the tunes and parts that now sit in the garage would have me a built bottom end right now. The power bug keeps on biting most ppl Im def. a sucker for it.
  5. Good stuff..did he just give you a running in tune. What did you end up doing with the bottom end?
  6. Saw your car on the dyno today..looks good under the hood
  7. if you go to the ECU sub forum there is more on it but this should give you the idea..
  8. I used this when I changed mine to the earls makes life abit easier with abit of a guide. Its not totally relevant to fitting an earls filter thingy but you get the picture.
  9. talkin bout massive attitude... I'd say you take pole position
  10. Dunno if you ended up doing it but it pays to check your inlet manifold bolts too.. Its easiest with a 10mm ratchet spanner and a 3/8 socket set. They are all 10mm bolts. I noticed when I did mine that atleast half of them were fairly loose.
  11. I had a similar prob a while ago with the turbo only it was the rubber joiner on the front of the turbo broke up and a piece of rubber went thru bending the blade. I never saw it as it was hiding on the bottom where I couldnt see it until it was too late. I highly doubt that the flaking paint on the outside of your cooler would cause what you are saying. If I were you id be checking all the intake piping from the turbo all the way to the filter box inc. the filter you should find something..
  12. knoath its making me nervous
  13. just run another 3" beside it
  14. is it def. a motor out jobby to do the oil pump upgrade?
  15. Will-82 what did that set you back assumimg you pulled the motor out and refitted it after it was put together for ya
  16. Its good under power just goin back to get the hesitation on take off and cruising sorted and wat not seemed like we ran out of time on the saturday arvo so that's far enough
  17. I saw your motor a couple of days ago when it was getting stripped down. All the valves were bent and the top of the pistons had bash marks on them Good excuse to build'er up now I spose.. how long were you running that power level for? Ali changed my chain and guides when the valve springs were getting done mine were stuffed too im glad they spotted it by the looks of it sorry to hear about you ride.
  18. Not really sure of how it will go down the track I was having a flick thru the mph vs rwkw thread but its hard to know until I get there. I just need to do the rear diff bush b4 I head out as its pretty shagged. Before this round of Mods I had 320rwkw and 780Nm at 18psi with a monza, cat, and the some other bits and bobs to support. It used to still wheel spin in 2nd but I suffered axle tramp regularly.. I havent suffered axle tramp since the tune its smooth as. The most noticable thing is how torquey it is off the line barely have to try at all and its off and away. Its suprising how different it drives considering its not a heap more power and wat not than the last tune it had from pingtune.
  19. Got the car tuned on Saturday. I asked for a conservative tune to preserve the bottom end for now until the bottom end gets rebuilt when I can afford it. Very happy with the outcome feels a hell of alot more towy off the line than it did with the prev. tune. I also got that annoying burble takin out too so it has a nice smooth overrun with a tad of burble here and there sounds gr8. On the 2nd run it pulled 365rwkw on 18psi I was told that its making the power easy which was good to hear.. From there on run after run he was taming it down to 350rwkw which was the level I was happy to play at for now. Big thanx to BTA motorsports for the tuning and the other things that needed a tidy up.
  20. I pretty much have the same mods as you. Goin on the rollers this morning hoping for roughly the same sort of output. I usually just email my pic to my computer, copy and paste it to my desktop, go to the full editor down the bottom of this page click browse then find the file which is on the desktop click open then attach file. Hope this helps I'm using my phone so can't really attach the link to the help page. Cheers breno
  21. Thanks Dillz..too bad there sold out cant really go wrong for that price
