  1. how do they up the boost? Is it like a pulley change out or something?
  2. ^^What he said.. If u look again it sits on 175kPa almost the whole way there is a little blip where it goes up to 180kPa but that's in the mid range area at mid-low 200+rwkw. Peak power of 316rwkw is made at roughly 9PSI.... if it is in absolute Kpa
  3. if it was absolute pressure and saying that it was roughly 100kPa atmospheric pressure then it works out to be 10.8PSI Kinda doesnt seem right either way anyhoot..
  4. keep us posted...interested to see the outcome.
  5. By the looks of it you dont have a big drive if you wanted to go to Pit Lane performance. Works out to be just under 47kms on google maps If I were you take your car to Pit Lane and get it checked out. I'm sure it won't cost you an arm and a leg to just get it checked out. I personally dont live in melb. but it would be like me going to tunehouse in syd. from now on.
  6. Anyone tried converting the manifold pressure to PSI?? I keep getting 25PSI..
  7. Yeah I know what you mean.... I guess I should have asked best location not under the hood..I dont wanna have 2 of them under the hood it will just create the question of why not just get 1 big 1 ya povo..haha I plan on doing this for virtually nothing is all but still wanna keep the junk out from under the hood.
  8. I have been thinking about mounting a 2nd blow off valve as I have a spare bosch bov lying around. It could be mounted on the cold side in the front bar vented or on the hot side. I can keep it vented and not worry about the boys in blue looking under the hood as it will be fitted in behind the front bar. It will cost me only the rubber hose to do it and a six pack. My aim is to stop all flutter while I am running on 17psi. I think 2x25mm bov's should work ok. Where would be the best location for the 2nd bov on the hot side or the cold side? Also how important is it to keep the pilot air line as free and short as possible. I mean can the length play a "big factor" in response to it opening the valve?
  9. /\ /\ /\ /\ x2 couldnt find it either. I was looking at doing this yesterday too but it kinda looks like the sway bar links will foul on what ever it was behind it when they are set back into the new holes.
  10. I think you will need to get a tuner to do it.. Just make sure he/she knows what they are doing. I must admit I was a little disappointed when I realised my fan setting stuff up was no mistake.
  11. Sitting in traffic the 82degree tstat wont really help you unless you get the fans to cut in earlier. Though cruising around without the fans cutting in earlier and it will run abit cooler. But yeah like I said... if the reason you are doing this swap over is to run cooler engine temps when just sitting there in traffic, you will need the fans adjusted or your just wasting your time. When my fans werent adjusted right, it was getting up around halfway sitting in traffic with a 72deg. tstat. The only way I could bring the temp down was by cranking the heater on with high fan boiling my ass off.
  12. Like others have said.. pi$$ off all that piping. You will reduce the total length from filter in to tb by over 2 metres. + you will have a result that looks, drives and sounds better IMO. The guts of that intercooler looks the goods. What brand is it?
  13. more than likely just a placebo but I think it does feel more responsive tbch.. go for it.
  14. http://www.asllogistics.com/catalog/Video-conversion-kit-p-19.html is this the asl box you have? Which phone are you using that has a video output? I have the Samsung Galaxy 1 though it only has the small usb connection will that work? Gotta admit that's pretty nifty havin gauges on the icc.
  15. I too think it is importat to have a data log sesh or 2. The data log can be used a reference point later if need be, which could save alot of guess work if things begin to go pear shaped. On another note my fans have been sorted out now. I ended up giving the values to be entered......... cheers IH8TOADS The needle now is roughly on 1 needle thickness over the 1/4 line when cruising and roughly on 1-2needle thicknesses under 3/4 if the half way line was max when sitting in traffic. I also got the "speed less than for fans to be on" raised from 30 to 40. Just need some time to myself so I can sort out a this data logging. Thanx again guys.
  16. In the description it doesnt mention being compatible with our T's. Is this the exact unit you are using. Seems like a bloody good idea.
  17. Do not buy this cheap ass farkin POS.
  18. what is needed to edit with the x3?
  19. Am I able to edit the fan settings thru livelink?
  20. well today is a new day and the data is rollin in. I uninstalled livelink and reinstalled it. This time let it take its time. What I did wrong: Downloaded then opened to install. Installed livelink The wizard came up and told me the installation wizard was finished. I pressed ok. Right there I needed to wait for a pop up saying install X3 drivers blah'd'blah. So basically the drivers are in the download from Herrod if anyone wants to know. Just need to be very patient when installing it. Wait for any pop ups before pressing ok. Go for a smoke or something. Glad its all fixed now I can begin my datalogging. Big thanx to everyone with your help getting this POS to work Now just gotta figure out what I'm looking at. haha
