  1. I am running 2 blow off valves the standard one and a kompact knockoff. The only hint of flutter I get is when I first release the throttle after a 17psi hit. Its not what I'd really call flutter though its like half a tu if that even makes sense then the sssshhhhhhh... kinda sounds like a cracking a wip at the moment love it. If I wind the knock off bov closed tight then I get back the tu tu tu.
  2. wish I saw this before I had to get my 60's swapped for redriled factories not so long ago obviously there is nothing wrong with the injectors. Nice wright up Danny thanx for sharing I'll be going back to this when I step up to the 80's.
  3. Hey JET50T yep that was me .. I thought you were a UC until I saw your plates up close. Nice car bud. Was just before 11 on the way to getting my brother.
  4. dude that AVI is f*cked up..haha just kiddin I ended up buying Whiteline front and rear sway bars only I got a 30mm front and 22mm rear. Standard front on my BF MK1 was 25mm front and 19mm back. Makes a huge difference to the cars handling with my otherwise standard suspension for the better.. There is obviously abit of understeer in the front end due to it being a 30mm (I got shonked by some dodgy pr*ck off Ebay) not a 27mm but its so much better to drive and no longer feels like a death trap going thru high speed S bends. Totally recommend getting sway bars especially if your pushing more power than standard.
  5. Nah man he said $1200 brand new "if you can still find them".. maybe its cause there rare now or sumthin. :mail:

  14. Anyone up for a cruise this wknd or next wknd? Im in the western suburbs.
  15. Hey guys I'm looking into this electronic rust guard protection and am curious if it actually works. This is for my daily driver. I have been looking at this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Electronic-Rust-Protection-Corrosion-Guard-12-points-/150678828419?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2315287583 for example. Has anyone got any feedback or know of any good quality systems available?
  16. Not sure about the under guard what ^^^^ said sounds like a good idea. I have removed the rubber seal at the back of the bonnet. The windscreen wipers get pretty hot after a cruise around on a hot day. Even after I have shut the car off I can feel the heat radiating thru the gap at the back of the closed bonnet. The only downside I can see is the bonnet tends to have a bit of a wobble over bumps and what not but its very very minor, you only see it if your looking for it. Maybe try that if your worried. Like someone else has said I will be refitting it come winter.
  17. Who are you getting to tune your car? Any other mods planned for the beast since your getting a tune with the new intake setup?
  18. I ended up fitting the turbosmart knock off bov in the front bar on the hot side piping and fitted the stocker bov on the cold side plumbing back to the drivers side intake. Now if I jump off (17psi) boost there is no flutter and its actually fairly quiet which I like. Now I just wanna quieten down the intake noise. All that can be heard is the suction noise which is pretty noisy. I was thinking of using that stuff they rap around ac A/C compressors to line the walls surrounding the pod... should do the trick....?? Turbo badge is off. Just the big decision of painting the cooler black or not haha Love having V8's pull up beside me and thinking HA! just a poxy six I'll show him..
  19. I bought a boost gauge for 60bux some time ago. Piece of p1ss to fit up. Its not even in a holder I just spray painted the back of it black and squeezed it in the bottom setion in front of the gear shifter. I changed the back light to a blue led to match the footwell lights. TBH I have had a fair few ppl jump in the car and no-one has even noticed it. Just make sure you hide the cable and what not well. You can get power from the ciggy lighter. It is dodgy I know but in saying that its a handy tool for 60bux and can be taken back out in a matter of a minute or 2.
