  3. Anyone heard these varex systems in action? Thinking about adding 1 to mine to shut it up a bit. Tbh I'd mostly want it quiet on idle. Neighbors are getting the sh*ts with my 4.30am starts

  6. Measure it for us if ya can. Might have a tailshaft for the box. I've learnt that ford are fuq tards and made a bunch of different tail shafts. They even have the dif bush bolt in different places in the b series. Trent has a complete rear cradle with t/s n box providing those bolt holes are in the right spot for the t/s
  7. I can help ya out with that bud providing your tailshaft is balanced. Just curious, how far apart are the fixing bolts for your centre bearing bracket?

  9. Shagged oil fitting to turbo leaking oil everywhere! Thanks to pirtek for the replacement hose though

  11. Add those plastic clip in weights to the right spots on to the bolts
  12. Adj. act preload.. Meaning turbo out and in + oil change finally clicked over 1000kms lastly balance tailshaft

Ok so here's a dodgy way to balance a tail shaft Turns out no matter how many times I would have taken the shaft out and got it rebalanced I would be fighting the diff hub thingy anyway See pic showing bore holes for balancing now see plastic counter weights in this pic long story short if I swapped diffs and placed the weights in line with the tail shaft position as b4 using witness marks. Vibration from hell comes about over 100km/hr. Move wheels blah blah as said in prev. Post, move weights around and wind car up to 140km/hr on hoist (coz crazy carnt on a mission) until vibration is gone. Wouldn't recommend this method to most ppl lol Anyway I'm happy it's all fixed. Would have been going in circles IMO if I had of sent the tailshaft away to be rebalanced, refit oh sh*t it's still there etc etc Here's some more pics of how I set it up

Hey fellas, So the cars on the hoist,rear springs are out, rear wheels have wen removed and disc have been re secured by bolting another disc on backwards, tried replacing rear bearings, I've now got the rear lower control arms ratchet strapped at the same height they would be if the car was on the ground. Run the car up to 100km/hr to the speed where the car gets a vibration. I've ruled it out to vibrating from either the tailshaft or the cv's. Will it hurt the diff if I pull the cv's out and spin it up to "100km/hr" with no axles in? Only way I can think of proving it's not the cv's
  15. Rubber mounted surge tan to car using rubber washers for the bolts too, rubber mounted pump to surge tank also using rubber washers.... Still noisy as farkin sh*tehouse carnt of a thing... Come to the conclusion that the noise must be traveling through either the fluid/fuel and/or my Teflon braided line from surge tank to pump needs to be replaced with a rubber hose instead. So wish I never bought this aeromotive pita noisy pos! A controller would be the next best thing but I really don't like the idea of how it works + there exxy as.

  20. The presicion 6235 has been getting a good wrap lately, just bought one myself too. Fairly easy to fit yourself if you can swing a spanner and wanna save a pretty penny.
