sometimes a tuner will pull boost if its not needed to make the power especially when iat's are starting to go up and up... others ignore it and hand you back the grenade. Sounds like you have a better tuner now.. did he say something might be wrong with the car or talk about getting a better cooler?
thanx ralph, that's the go. I'd def. be doing it freaky.. that statement about my brothers catch can ^^^^^ there is now wrong. He checked his the other day and sure enuf there was "clean" water aswell. No way in fruck would I get rid of the can knowing what could potentially go into my motor. I cant remember.. does the original plumb in from the pcv enter at the rear of the manifold? Or is it the middle? Just thinking about something I read earlier where apparently no. 6 is usually the 1 to get out of bed..
Ended up tapping in a 3/8 thread and fitted a 8mm pneaumatic fitting with a little hand valve in place of where the plug was.. thinking of putting a little solenoid there contolled by the hobbs switch (10lb) so I dont have to drain the f*cker every 3 weeks LOL cozlazycarnt
^^ my rear neg. camber is -1deg and sits around 323-330mm static depending on fuel and crap in the boot.. What offset with the 9.5's would suit? Looking to run a 265 if possible and the guards aren't rolled... but can roll'em if 275's will work obviously that would mean more choice with offset too..?
fair enuf. Just seems odd that's all.. my brothers ute is running virtually the same setup as my car, same power yet not a drop in his catch can. I have read about other cars seeing water in the catch can, just nothing on here.
Hey fellas, been noticing about every month I'm having to drain the catch can of water. It has a hint of a smell of ethanol to it and no trace of oil.... just clear water. I'm emptying out up to a full cup of water sometimes. :-/ Anyone had any similar experience or know what the f*ck is going on? I understand that ethanol is hydroscopic but still this much clear water has got me puzzled.
thinking of doing something similar to this using plasti dip... would there be an edge from where the plasti dip meets the original paint? Just worried there might be a "leading edge" for sh*te to catch on and pull it up.
I hardly ever use the tow bar these days so I pulled the whole thing out.. things gotta weigh like 20kgs, spare wheel has found a place in the garage too. An easy 40-50kg goneski.. its raised the back of the car to 333mm giving a little rake too which isnt a bad thing. Looking forward to painting lines in 4th on a cold morning the car is stupid fun these days. CMS kix ass
