are you sure everything was a str8 swap reg. the sub frame and diff.? Ive known these cars to have dif. tail shafts in some dif. models for f*ck know what reason. Do the bolts go fully in if the tail shaft is not there?

Simple as you think it should be mate. Yes I have pulled these apart numerous times between my car or someone elses in the family (4 of them). They aren't timed or anything like that though usually there is black plastic counter weight thingy that clips on the part of the bolt that has that odd shape once they have been driven fully in. The weights are used for additional balancing I'd gather from ford.. The weights go from one bolt to another as in clip on to 2 bolts in total. If you dont have them or never did then either you didnt need them or someone else has pulled it out before you and not put them back in.

I had a 72deg. Tstat at one stage and it would be a bees dick under ther the1/4 mark in the same cold conditions. Now the 82 high flow (wank wank) is roughly a needle width over the 1/4 in cold conditions. Not really an answer for ya more just a comparison.

You'll kill that clutch pretty quick with 300+rwkw. Strongly suggest you start saving for a option 3+ clutch kit. Should also come with lightened flywheel and bleeder line. Your clutch might not necessarily be rooted just yet but it will be real soon. So phuckin annoying when they start slipping

It's not as easy as you might think to bleed the clutch unless you have a bleeder hose fitted. That solid line goes straight into the bell housing onto the csc.. carnt of a job without the bleeder line you can get from Mal wood. In saying that just to fit it you need to pull the box back.

In saying that if it did pop its like 4.5k for a bf mk2 motor complete with box n complete conversion 2nd hand. Would just have to wait for 1 to come up.. only thing is its obviously a gamble if the motor is good or not. Usually there's 3 months warranty unmodified. Tbh if mine pops ill probly just grab a 2nd hand fg motor.

You should be getting a better avg. than that with those km's on a sedan tank. Should be more like 16ishL/100km or less. Pretty good fuel economy none the less same as mine

the BA's are known to have a weak gearbox so that'll probably be next on the cards inc. a new clutch and maybe flywheel personally I would look into a 6 speed manual since the 5 speeds are made from glass (im not sure if the tail shaft will need to be modified or replaced due to the dif. box) all this after the valve springs are done of course then I would seriously consider getting a custom tune but you might want to (dont have to) consider getting a better intercooler and a high flow cat.. maybe even swap out some of the restrictive pipes in the intake setup.

from what I've read the centre muffler is supposed to be the most restrictive (disregarding the cat) vs the rear the muffler. People are getting away with cat back systems and not needing a retune though as the cat is what really determines the flow to a point.

sorry I dont have an answer for ya but it sh*ts me how there is so many vartiations of tail shafts in the t's.. Good luck with it mate. 3.5k for a truetrac is a bit out there though.

Coming into the maintenance office (my hidey hole) and it stinks like the old bloke that was here before. Dead set smells like someone has died in here every time I follow him, fricckin puterid. Thank f*ck for glen 20. Im supposed to do a handover with the bloke but I end up standing outside the maint. door talking to him from outside the room gasping for clean air as the filth pours out of the room. He must think im the rudest karnt but what are ya supposed to do. He left his jacket behind and I had done the glen 20 spray through the room, walks in sees the glen 20 has a sniff and goes "oh I dont smell that bad do I?".. FML
