    Police Attention

Only pulled over once for being 9km's over speed limit. Gave an economic explanation of why I shouldn't be booked. It worked  Knew I did Commerce/Economics for some reason.
  3. It'd be great to see the light silver colour that was in the AU's and is commonly seen on SS's. One of my mates has an AUI with that silver and I was disappointed to see that Mercury Silver was the only colour like it available which is considerably darker. As for the yellow, a colour like Devil on the Monaro as well as the yellow they had on the 200SX would be a sweet colour on the XR6-T.
  4. Have you seen that bright red AU XR with the highlighter yellow stripes along the side? Looks a bit womble. Occassionally see it driving through here in the city as I am waiting at the bus interchange. Of course, then there was that Volvo that got lent to the AFP which ended up written off at City Markets a couple of years back. Would imagine Volvo Australia were none to pleased about that.
  5. Yeah I saw the Phantom one a little while ago. And double Yeah to the Acid Rush with the full sick wheels. Only $6,000 worth according to the salesguy there. I was over in Young on the weekend and I was fascinated at the number of XR8's there. Haven't seen one XR8 here yet. When I was at the pub on Saturday night there and I said I wanted an XR6-T, some of the blokes looked at me as if I'd just ordered light beer  I used to live there, so I was expecting that response.
  6. I'm waiting for Series 2 to come along but can be seen regularly druelling on XR6-T's or inadvertently watching forum members' XR6-T's whilst driving thru roundabouts In the meantime using hoon camoflauge ie. TN Magna  Keep an eye out for a big thumb sticking out of driver's window. Agree with Falchoon about the stories from dealers ie Gregorys and the different versions thereof. I've gotten 3 versions of what the premium brakes are (and utterly confused...oh well). Although they did have a sweet looking Herrod version of a Futura V8 there.

    Found My Xr6t Ute

Although it certainly is bad, unless you have paid in full you'd probably find in your contract something about all goods remaining property of Ford until paid for. Regardless though, it's still not good cricket. And JESMAL, that sucks muchly...hope the mechanic no longer works for that dealership.

That would be the new Ford Territory which was unveiled at the Melbourne Motor Show. From what I read of it, it has similarities to the Ford Escape. Aussie built...Ford have decided it's what it needs to keep the Australian presence justified with the movement away from the traditional family sedan to the soft-roaders/Toorak Tractors/Gladesville Graders that are more prominent on the roads today.
  9. Hey Falchoon...I saw your beast Sunday before last driving up Wanganeen Ave. Ngunnawal. You had a trailer on the back so didn't get to see the forum sticker. But I saw your rego plate and at the last moment and didn't get to give it the thumbs up Was saying to my fellow Ford fanatics about the class XR6-T I saw that morning. (I was driving the opposite direction and saw you coming out of a roundabout and the mesmerising quality as I was watching it drive off in my rear views of your car almost made me forgot I was driving into a roundabout myself at the same time). These XR6-T's are a dang road safety hazard...they demand to be looked at!!! Hey thanks Matt, you are making me blush now! There's a few XR6s around the area, don't know how many are turbo. I've seen a black one, a Blueprint N/A and an Acid Rush N/A. Keep your eyes on the road mate, I don't want to see any smashed up Fords on the side of the road (you do drive a Ford don't you...?)! Give us a wave if you see me again. Falchoon, Unfortunately am not driving a Ford. Still driving my uni student drive...a red '88 TN Magna :( (Noted as Jap Zero in my profile) Was thinking of upgrading but decided to save up instead for an XR6-T (probably wait for Series 2). Have an XR6-T on the desktop at work as my "carrot" for slaving away in my Dilbertian cubicle (plus the occassional stroll around the corner to Gregory's) Have seen those other ones around the 'hood. Keep an eye out for a drueling redhead giving a big thumbs up

+ gearbox, bonnet and $8K. Yeah...$8K and not even premium brakes?!? I was having a bo-peep at one at Gregory's last week and couldn't tell. Thanks for that guys.

Hey. Just wondering are there any differences between the T and XR8 other than one less hairdryer and two more pots and the resultant extra couple of kg's and kW's. Is there anything extra you get for the extra bling-bling? Cheers.
  12. The drive I look forward to doing when I acquire an XR6-T is through the Southern Highlands in NSW. Driving to Bundanoon (top bakery there for fuel to start off), through Exeter and either continuing directly to Fitzroy Falls or taking a scenic route through Moss Vale, down to Kangaroo Valley and taking the back road through to Berry and then the long straight to the Princes Highway.

  14. Same in ACT. No restrictions on what cars someone can drive. Also was the only place in Australia until a couple of years back where there were no capacity restrictions on what L/P-plate motorcyclists could ride...imagine an R1 with P-plates on the back...would be what's known as a Temporary Territorian. Now have 150kW/tonne restrictions on bikes.

Likewise, did a search on Yahoo for XR6 Turbo as I figured that there had to be more out there than just the New Falcon website and the site came up.
  16. It certainly would be sweet to see one with lights on top (preferably not in the rear view mirror). Unfortunately, the latest bit of gear the AFP have strapped a siren to which I saw in Canberra City today whilst out for a lunchtime walk is TJ Magna aka Jap Zero . I am the not-so-proud owner of a Magna and as I look at the AFP's new cruiser I now know why they have people cover their faces on the news getting out of the cop cars...you would too if you were being hauled out of a Magna Although, it's not as bad as when I was in NZ in 2000 and saw TR Magna's ('92) being used for highway patrol on the South Island....eeek

I would say "damage" could be an overstatement. There was no evidence of detonation when using ULP. But you'd think that an engine after say 100,000 kms that has been run on PULP 99% of the time would be running more effectively than one which hadn't...regardless of whether it's a turbo or not especially considering the extra detergents and such that PULP has. Perhaps a case of more upsides of using PULP than downsides of using ULP.

G'day to all on my first post. My experience on this topic has been through the Supercharged V6 in the Late model camira S which used to be the family drive. PULP was the main usage in this, however if you used ULP in it, it would go through a little more which was not noticeable unless you stuck a 15ft fibreglass boat on the back of it. Of course it would work hard regardless, you could watch the gauge go from F to E as you were driving along, less so on the PULP. So if you want to put it through its paces, expect to pay extra at the bowser using ULP. My way of thinking would be that in the long run it would be better to use PULP regardless.
