  1. Trust you Ken to know all about the sorts of things they sell in Fyshwick... Rubber gloves hey Matt...  We sold other stuff as well. Like cleaning chemicals
  2. Ahhh...the Fyshwick jokes. I used to work there. That always generated a comment or ten. I would go along by just saying that we sold rubber gloves.
  3. Indeed Ken. I would've not only expected you to take advantage of that opening, but some sort of joke about openings would've been considered obligatory. What is this crazy world coming to?
  4. I think the biggest problem with the Ford Probe was its resale value. Really, who's going to buy a "used Probe"? (boom boom)

    Road Rage

If some drivers gave some ground, there'd be less drivers in the ground. The stakes are too high to worry about the tossers on the road. Definitely don't need some idiot with a touch of road rage on my conscience if he decides to involve me in his drive to the pearly gates. I just call em a tosser, do my best to get out of their psychosis and go back to enjoying the drive.
  6. Hehe...another proverb...Good things come to those who wait. I would've taken the plunge this year on 20/11 but decided I wanted to make some improvements to the bachelor pad first...the Jap Zero (ie Mitsubishi) that I currently drive is still going OK, plus liked the idea of getting a Series 2 instead. Especially when I read in Drive (SMH) about the possibility of getting a 6-speed auto :hiwelcome: Meanwhile, anytime I have a bad week, I just walk by the local dealer around the corner from work and remind myself what lies ahead And one of my mates is getting an XR8 ute soon which I'm assured I will be allowed to take for cruises, so that will ease my pain.
  7. Nice work Mac_dude. But trust me, a wait till the 20th of November 2003 ain't too bad. My intended delivery date is 20th Nov 2004 (tis my birthday, and I'm waiting for Series 2) :D

    My Love Life!

Good luck Falchoon! Nice work indeed. Just be yourself...works wonders. :D
  9. Seen the same for a large local dealer. Mate had the same thing happen to his Honda. Had been fully serviced by original dealer and the engine blew at 80,000kms. Had been to the same dealer myself for the first time just a week earlier and had to change a clutch slave cylinder myself that week. Noticed the filter was the exact same as the last one and the oil was as black as charity. Ever since, I write the odometer reading on to the filter or do the change myself if time permits. Find that having the odometer reading on the filter also lets the spanner monkeys know that I'm watching.
  10. This is a photo taken outside the Augusta National Golf course recently. The ladies were there trying to force the course to allow lady members. The man standing at the back could be the bravest man ever (orange sign).
  11. Anyone a fan of using an orbital buffer/polisher for product application? Does anyone do this and get good results from it?

    Photo

Should take a similar photo on the main street of Bowral...Bong Bong St.
  13. Yeah, I saw that one too...I think I saw it in Mitchell. It is an XR...not half bad. Definitely gives it a new lease on life
  14. Something similar said in this article on Drive today. Drive Article

    New Xr6t Today

Am curious, what's so special about putting the CD in? And besides, XR6T Mayhem, real men don't read instructions...they just drill bigger holes :D
  16. There was actually an article on one of the "current affairs" (how pensioners getting kicked out of their rental property rates as current affairs is beyond me) shown on Tuesday night (think it might have been Today Tonight). They had a WRX to demonstrate and some talking head from NRMA saying that the fifth wheel should be the same and how dangerous they are...said that they shouldn't be used on the front wheels due to the lack of safety in emergency braking.
  17. Finally, one taken at Braddon. Apologies if it seems a little dark. Looks better in original print.
  18. Final one from Mt Ainslie, looking out towards Russell and the airport.
  19. Some sweet colours
  20. Howdy all. Apologies for the slight delay. Just picked up the photos yesterday.
  21. It was indeed an awesome day. Thanks to Falchoon for organising an excellent day. Although, where the hell did everyone disappear after Mt Ainslie? Went all around Black Mountain Peninsula after escaping to Maccas for some food looking for a stack of XR's and none to be found! A great day nonetheless. Film is getting developed as we speak (or as I type and you read).

    De-badging - Legal?

Definitely spoken from the anal fischure. Only have to ask some of the forum members who have had their T's debadged. Besides, cops don't need to know what they're up against...they've got radios.

    Custom Plates

Different prices depending on what you want. http://www.canberraconnect.act.gov.au/File...platesflyer.pdf Hmm...considerably cheaper than other states for the unique one ($1812). Or $600-odd for "MATTB"

    Custom Plates

How much does a set of custom plates set you back in the ACT?
  25. haha you call that competition? I have an 88 TN Magna and even I can line up my Mum in her Charade at the lights (even if she's a hoon) before I get out of 2nd gear! The XR6-T has a power-weight ratio almost twice my Magna...I would be worried if a Charade or even a Sirloin with mustard (Sirion GTI) overtook it.
