1. No harm in building it for 1000 and making it a dyno queen then pulling it back to around 700rwhp for the street.
2. 8 grand for the engine would be done on the cheap and for a turbo set up your looking at around 8k just a gtx45 without the rear housing is like $3500 a manifold is Atleast 2k then you have external gates which are like a grand each! The rest of the prices are pretty spot on though!
3. Big job. I'm in the process or starting a build at the moment. It takes a lot of money, time and patience. It's not as simple as just throwing new rods and pistons etc. But in the end it'll all be worth it.
4. I love my polished one! I think it depends on what the car is used for, everyday=black if it's a fun car that you drive once or twice a week go polished.
5. On 98 I get around 350-400 but I don't really do any long distance driving.
6. This whole thing is like head butting a brick wall! Everyone is going to think their cooler is better than everyone else! Until plaz can post proof that his cooler is better than a PW one I'm going to stick with my PW3
7.

No tyre will hook up from a start when you have over 400rwkw so it doesn't really matter,
8. I'd rather spend 320 or what ever they are and replace them every 10,000 than spend 700+ and replace them every 12,000km
9. Nitto invos all round will be fine in that case! I had them all round with 410rwkw and they were not bad, always going to get wheel spin in the first two gears unless you use mt streets
10. That's what I'd do for the street mate! Invos are awesome in the wet and pretty good in the dry. I don't think the NT05s are good on the wet at all though
11. There will always be a slight hiss when the volume is high this is because the standard head unit is sh*t.
If it's a whine, then that's normally caused by the way all the wires are run, and try turning down the amp gains a bit to see if that helps.

When I first did mine I used a high low converter and that worked great.
12. Too lovely! I was down there yesterday picking up the slicks, getting the tune adjusted for the strip, and getting my arm twisted for E85!
13. Ended up getting E85 set up! Goes in for it in 2 weeks!

Heading down to WAW this week, hopefully I can try and get a 10sec on 98! Got slicks etc sorted!
14. In my fathers old 66 coupe he has one and it works awesome to stall up.
Decided not to go with it though, just going to do it the old fashion way!
Heading down to the drags Wednesday night, got slicks etc sorted! Hopefully run a 10sec pass
15. FPV service will only be more when it comes to brake work and some part replacements. Although insurance will be sky high compared to the xr6t
16. Nittos work fine. Unless you want to race your car every weekend there is no need to spend 700-800 on tires. Go invos on the front and nt05 on the rear. Once they are warm they will grip well
17. Throw some nitto invos on, or nt05. I have the nt05 on the back of my fg and that still spins first and sometimes 2nd if they tires arnt hot and that 420rwkw. Gotta run them pretty low pressure though
18. Whining noise is normally from the diff.
19. I was at lane ford (Mandurah) the other day and they had brand new top of the range F6 for 55 grand on the road! You can't go wrong with that
20. I'm assuming you mean 300rwkw? This you will notice a huge difference! But you'll need injectors a cat and a tune and a bigger fuel pump would hurt.
21. Deff worth checking while it's on the hoist it just seems Suss that it happened as soon as the brembos were installed. It took my control arms a few month for the bush to fail after I put the brembos in
22. No offence to the person who installed them but they are always going too defend them self. Id get them checked out by someone else, Shudder is normally caused by the disc being warped. First off try machining them and if that makes it no better I'd be calling ford and try and figure out if there is a problem with the caliper
23. Best part of the whole car! Sold it too me
24. Are the calipers actually tight? Correct torque? Did you install the pads correctly? When you installed the disc did you smooth the surface of the hub under the disc? What brand disc are you using?
