1. Best bet is too make a build plan with your tuner as they will know what's best and what they like to work with
2. Can't imagine them fitting directly unless it comes with it's own plastic mounting for it
3. Too far to fill the tank every time! I'm going to make a build plan with him and get the engine built in the next few months
4. Same set up just adjusted the tune a little, putting out 423rwkw on 98. Was going to run 85 but it's still too hard to get down in the rockingham area. Car is going too Robs on Tuesday for a service and check up and replacing a inter cooler pipe (catching on the aircon pully) and going to start a build plan and start making some real power.

Took it too WAW a while back but had wheel spin all the way too 4th gear and still managed a 11.4 when I backed off on the launch.
5. There is no timing belt on these as they are chain. If you want 350rwkw you'll need a bigger a turbo and when you do that it'll make 400rwkw so that's why you won't find many with 350
6. Safely isn't possible on a tuned car, when you start playing you start paying.
7. If the box has being tuned that'll explain why it slips a little bit cold.

Mine does the same and it's a built ZF but once it's warmed up a little no more slippage
8. I noticed a huge difference straight away, having said they I flushed all the lines and had braided brake lines too
9. Only time you'll have a problem with a ZF is when you start pushing over 500rwhp through it and give it a hard time. Some people say the cooler on them are no good and they fail which causes the 'milkshake' but from what I can gather is that happens more on the old BA 4spd auto. Of you are worried about it you can always get a external cooler fitted for a few hundred
10. G'day guys, Done a bit of a search on these and everyone has seemed too use them just for burnouts, I was wondering if anyone on here have used them as a launch control (what they are supposed too do) It'll be going into a fg xr6t with 420rwkw. Also has 4pot on the rears
11. As said before it's not just the turbo you need to think about, a gear box will cost you Atleast 4k to be built, a tail shaft will be needed, that'll be around a grand, plus the usual cooler, injectors exhaust, surge tank etc I will say it's well worth it! No better feeling that have it light up at 100kph with ease
12. I'd be mounting the new cross overs under your seats, I found I got a lot of feedback when they were mounted in the doors
13. You shouldn't do any mods without a tune regardless. Use the search function, this question has been asked 5 million times
14. Take it to Monsta Torque in Malaga, Rob knows his stuff! If not where abouts in wa are you?
15. See what the mechanic has to say and if they arnt reasonable contact the MTA (motor trade association) they should help you out
16. They get better as they go mate! Bit slippery when you first get them!
17. And my old work is doing it at cost price so $320 for a factory ford alternator
18. Nah mate the light just come on so I took it too my old workshop, unplugged the alternator and connected it To a computer it was supposed to put out 13.5v when after a voltage drop which it didn't so that means the alternator is gone.
19. Turns out it is the alternator. Getting it fixed on Tuesday, pretty piss poor performance by ford, alternator shouldn't go with less than 70k on it
20. Yeah fair enough then, I'll throw a new one in tomorrow and see how it goes. Car starts fine etc. it's just the charge failure light comes on when ever it's started
21. Don't think so only replaced it like 7 months ago
22. G'day guys, decided to take the turbo out for a drive this morning, got about 300m down the road and this come up with charge fail. I'm assuming this will be the alternator which is pretty disappointing considering the car only has 60k on it. ( it's a 2009 fg)
23. Iv got a 2013 D22 with a diesel chip and a 3 inch exhaust and it goes hard! A lot more power compared to when it was standard. I manage to get around 900-950km out of a tank if I'm cruising under 2k (70-80kph) and on the high way at 110kph I get about 700km. Cost me $107 to fill the tank up yesterday. Pretty good fuel economy if you ask me?
24. If your on a tight budget I'd buy a stock and keep it stock. If you want big power expect to spend big money fixing it! Once you've got a big of $$$ behind you then have some fun
