  1. Your grandma is fkn legendary. Nice build mate. My two favourite things stuck together
  2. Wish I could afford to drive up, would be good to meet other ford lovers!
  3. Strong fuel smell from exhaust would be a dodgy or non exisant catalytic converter. That may be a cause for some of your problems. The exhaust flowing more would raise boost and would explain the leaning out. 300 bucks is a hefty price tag. Hopefully that's not the issue. Give the cat a poke/knock if it sounds hollow or rattles unbolt the sucker and have a look
  4. Ah okay I obviously have nothing to be concerned about. Thanks for that info. I imagine that housin would drop oil pressure a bit?
  5. Sorry mate, I was half asleep for some reason I thought you said rich on no1 so I thought gunk in the inlet donut on that cylinder ( the donut shaped plenum runner thing) restricting flow. Now I'm properly awake lol. The non genuine sensor may be a shorter length therefore giving a different reading. May also be screwed in too tight or loose. Seeing as it wouldn't cost anything to check that Id check that first. Did this error coincide with the injector clean? He may have accidentally dislodged a pile of sh*t in that injector that clogged it up once running? If you decide to replace them send me a PM, my stockers are floating around in the shed. Dont stress though. These Barra's seem to be able to take an absolute flogging! Best of luck again
  6. Stock injectors tick pretty loud. Especially On hot days. Without looking I'd be inclined to say there was a build up of sludge/ oil in that inlet donut restricting a bit of flow. My 2c anyway. Best of luck mate
  7. Hello all. Had a stinking hot day here recently and got a little concerned about my oil pressure. Just wondering if you guys can post up what oils you use and what sorta pressure it gets throughout the rev range. I have a mk1 BA and using Penrite HPR10w50 ATM and that particular day is was around 33psi at idle around 55 cruising and aroun 65 when I'm spirited. The usual cold days idle is around 45-50 at idle so I'm a little concerned. Anyway can you please post up your pressures If you know them just for a comparison. Thanks, Dave
  8. Worst worst case scenario it would be the timing chain floppig around. But I doubt it. I'd say you would be okay and it's probably just a pully. Perhaps stick your ear on the end of a large screwdriver to try and pinpoint the noise. That's helped me a few times.
  9. I like this one, not sure if its same guy or not.
  10. Do you have forged pistons? Probably need some more info. Can you do a video?
  11. I like the other one with the sax better, still talented though!
  12. My car does this also. Seems to be more noticable off boost 1st gear accelerating to around 2500rpm
  13. Farout mate. My BA made almost 300hp basically stock. Do you have a boost gauge? Is it possible it was reflashed with the stock tune before you bought it?
  14. Yeah I get this all the time on my phone as well. Trying out a new browser. Working out so far!
  15. Compression and leakdown test should help find the problem as ratter mentioned
  16. Ah thanks for that info Ralph, I've emailed penrite but that data sheet basically sums it up and I'm sure they will reply with info quoted from that. We shall see what they say. 4 litres is the ideal amount? Also anyone know anything about those bolts. I can get them from a hardware store that way. Because I bet ford would force me into prostitution to pay for them otherwise.
  17. Thanks mate I shall have a gander on there website
  18. Hello all, I have a couple bottles of Penrite Manual Gear 75 (75W-80) lieing around from my 5speeder and was wondering if they would be suitable for the 6 speed? I realise the transmax z is the ideal oil but Id rather save some coin and use up what ive got first. I mean im not running insane power levels and ive never ever been harsh on the box and more than likely never will be! Can someone also confirm the amount of oil needed to stop or help the rollover noise. was it around 4Litres? and lastly would anyone happen to know what bolts I need for the t56 that mount the actual box to the bellhousing itself. Part number or a substitute times how many? even a price if you have that info available. Thanks for your time guys, Dave

    Dba 4000 Rotors

Would it be 100% necasarry to replace the pads with the rotors. I am considering upgrading to the dba rotors and only put Bendix ultimate pads in a few thousand ks ago
  21. Aw mate I feel for you there, any pro car detailers/ cleaners on this forum?
  22. I got a aluminium one of eBay. Seemes to cool a bit better and adds to engine bling. I had to take it to the local aluminium guys for them to weld and tap a drain plug into it. All in all though you could just use the lower hose instead.
  23. Buddy open up the n/a section, there are a few just on the first page. Most of them have prices.
